We always stay here when we're in Portsmouth and for good reason: comfortable vibe, amazing staff (especially James!), great restaurant and classy bar. It's close to both water and town, too.

The room was very clean and had all that was needed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and a lovely place to eat, the food was delicious and the service was very good. The Dukes room is a nice relaxing place and we drank a few cocktails in there, the staff are very good and attentive to any needs. The outside area is great, although we did not make use of it it did look like a place you could relax and have a nice drink outside. Overall the staff at the hotel are very polite, welcoming and helpful. We have stayed at the Queens hotel before and will be sure to stay again.

The room is clean and nice. Staff is polite. Breakfast is very good. Location is good. Our room has nice sea view. We need to push open two or three heavy fire doors on our way from the elevator to our room. It was not easy to pull several pieces of luggage through these doors.

A rather old fashioned, maybe even quirky, hotel. It has undergone extensive refurbishment over the past few years. We always stay in a superior sea view room so I can’t comment on the others, although I know the family rooms are good. Good choice of breakfast items. A long list of cocktails at the bar but I haven’t sampled them. Ideal location for events on Southsea Common.

Room was good apart from the great south view from the 5 large windows has warmed to room to near sauna temp. Just a fan to stir the air with windows wide. No air conditioner. Lobby nice, indoor bar good, outside bar / resembles a basic pub garden, no interest. Breakfast let down by high price and no real coffee. Come on get a machine for proper coffee.

Really great location, building and facilities in a beautiful spot. We were taking a cruise the next day and stayed at this hotel because of the location to the coast. We had ocean views from our room. The hotel itself is very well preserved and very charming. The bar and restaurant were first class as well. Would definitely stay again.
