Our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We loved the window seat in the little nook between the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs up to our room were steep and difficult with a suitcase so be warned. The garden area was beautiful.

You got to stay

To tell you the truth I didn’t want to stay at an i have had bad experiences at a few inns in the past. But the Martin Inn has changed my mind from the gardens to the room the Martin inn is far above any inn I have stayed at in the past and it is not that far of a walk from downtown Portsmouth. The Martin inn has off street parking in the back as you walk to your room you go through a wonderfully kept garden which made my wife jealous. Which we spend a little while in on our last night there. I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to the Martin inn for a wonderful place to stay keep up the great work.

What an amazing surprise! Beautiful property - stayed in the Typhoon Room. Up a flight of steps, no worries. A nice walk gets you to the center of town. Highly recommend.

The inn was quite lovely. Nice accommodation and beautiful garden. Great location near the downtown. The only negative was wifi. The connection is unstable and not dependable - we had to use our Hotspot. With good wifi, it would be a stellar property.

Perfect space to choose for exploring Portsmouth. Facility was super cute and very clean. It was a little noisy in the morning, from outside the building as well as inside from the hall. Nothing extreme, so we weren't too bothered.
