Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and the little ‘extras’ were a treat…a glass of champagne when we arrived, chocolate chip cookies at 4 pm and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Would love to stay here again if ever we are back in exeter

Great staff! The room was nice and clean a little outdated, but the bathroom was up-to-date, which was a nice bonus! It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to walk into the town and explore

We got a warm welcome with cookies and tea and a glass of Champagne and got a voucher for a drink at the bar. Food was fabulous. Very clean. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was enough to start the day off. Free parking on site. Deco was beautiful.

We booked Exeter Inn for a night. We absolutely loved the staff, everyone was so pleasant and nice. Rooms were cleaned. They are going to renovate the whole building in 2027, so that would add some kore points to the place. If you are looking for charming, romantic New England staycation but in budget, this place is good for that.

Historic Inn within Exeter, outside of the Hotel Chains which made for a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were good, but do need a bit of updating, which I believe is in the process. This was a Birthday Trip for my 90-year-old Mother. She found the Inn accommodating for her needs. Thoroughly enjoyed the courtyard and afternoon Tea in the Garden. Staff was Excellent. Non-rushed, relaxing and easy stay in a quaint New England town with many historical sites.

The hôtel is a beautiful building in a lovely area of Exeter. The breakfast was very good compared to other hotels. Staff was ok. The room was far from tip top: plaster damaged by water not repaired on the ceiling, rusty heater, constant humming in the room, proximity of the other room where guests were yelling and slamming doors at midnight, slight bad odor in the room, etc. 3.5 star rating is not accurate at all. But the overall beauty of the building saves the stay. A few repairs would surely help.

Room was very very small the bed was comfortable good pillows there was food crumbs on the floor by the bed and a big stain on the rug breakfast was a joke also went to have a couple of drinks at the bar that night and the bar closed at 9:00 definitely was not impressed
