There were 3 of us (myself, husband, son) who stayed at 4 Old Post Row and it was absolutely perfect for us in every way. Clean, comfortable, had all amenities that were listed. It’s so cozy but never felt too small. The decor is all thoughtfully curated. The garden is very well looked after and there is a small babbling brook just inside the double red gate at the walkway. Liz came shortly after we arrived to introduce herself and give some suggestions about the area. They also own Cuchullin Restaurant in Portree and she kindly reserved a table for us (normally, it’s only walk-ins) and it was delicious. If I could pick up the house and property and place it within half an hour of where I work, I would do it.
Our stay was fantastic. The property is brilliantly located for sightseeing in Skye. The actual house is absolutely perfect, a credit to the owners. Very clean throughout. Very well appointed kitchen. Super comfy beds. Excellent shower in bathroom. Everything we needed was there. The house has been very tastefully decorated. Check-in had been very well communicated and was easy. Owner popped in shortly after our arrival and was happy to chat for a bit - very helpful. We would love to return in the future.

What a delightful cottage!! Liz was so kind to come meet us when we arrived. The cottage is well-appointed, very clean, and decorated beautifully. My family and I loved staying here. A short easy walk to Edinbane Pottery and Edinbane Inn.

A definite must stay
This is a beautiful cottage. Remodeled but historic and so comfortable. Everything for an extended stay. Private and quiet. Ok ff the beaten path in the Highlands, but perfect in every way. 2 restaurants within easy walking distance. A definite must stay

Idyllic escape
Idyllic eacape to the most stunning cottage.
Beautifully renovated, the cottage has all the comforts of home and then some, wish we had booked a longer stay.

This is the perfect cottage to explore Skye. Ideal for a family of four. We slept well, the shower is good and every thought has gone into this self catering accommodation (not one but two hairdryers, sharp kitchen knives, dishwasher tablets, treats!). We arrived with everything we needed food and drink wise (I recommend you do as well as it's a drive to the shops) but also ate locally at the inn which was fine and lively. There's an excellent playpark across the road and a pottery.

Wow, highly recommend!!
This charming cottage is even better in person than in pictures. We stayed 3 nights to explore Skye and our host, Liz, kept in constant contact with us to make sure we were taken care of. It felt like home away from home, with the best host we’ve ever had in our lives. There is a nice creek by the cottage to stroll and it is very quiet. We hope to stay here again the next time we’re in town, thank you so much for your hospitality, Liz!

It was a magical place to stay. We loved it! For anyone staying on the Isle of Skye for the first time, make sure you make your dinner reservations at least a week before you arrive if u want to go out to eat. Liz’s suggestions were spot on.

A perfect place to stay while enjoying Skye
The cottage was just a pictured - quaint, well appointed, cozy, and quite. Our hostess was very pleasant, providing us a warm welcome and suggestions for dining and visits.
We wanted to be a bit out of the way as we visited the Isle of Skye and this location/cottage checked all boxes. It was not located in Portree but close enough for groceries, dining, etc. We chose to stay in most nights and the kitchen provided a wonderful array of equipment/dishes to cook meals for ourselves at night and in the mornings.
No 4 put Isle of Skye on our top places to visit - providing the comforts of home while enjoying the splendor of nature the island has.

We loved our stay at No 4 Old Post Office. This super cute home in a very tiny and quiet village has a well equipped kitchen and a separate family room with an electric fireplace on the main floor. Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms: one with a very comfortable King bed and the other with two twin beds. The bathroom is upstairs and has a large glass shower.
My daughter loved the playground with a zip line that was just steps away. We loved the sound of a babbling brook across from the property.
We ate at the Edinbane Inn for one evening (delicious and great service). Unfortunately, the Edinbane Lodge (Michelin graded) was not open the days were were there. We ate at the Old School House in Dunvegan on another night. Please be aware that all restaurants will need advance reservations.
For our three days on the Isle of Skye, this location was an excellent home base. We did The Quiriang hike (amazing, and took us 3 hours) and The Old Man of Storr hike (too foggy to see much the day we went). We also loved roaming around the Fairy Glen. We also did a boating trip out of Portree and got to see dolphins, two seal colonies, and eagles. We had planned to go to the Fairy Pools hike, but locals we spoke to in Portree said that the hike wasn't worth it.
