When my wife became ill the staff was gracious and allowed us a late check out at 1PM. She was able to recover and relax. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with all we needed. Thank you. We will spread the word with our friends and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here while walking the camino. We had walked 30 km and coming to the hotel was so relaxing after a long day. Using the indoor pool and then the bathtub in our room was very soothing for tired muscles. The room and bed was very comfortable with a nice view. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was very convenient to the camino trail. My only complaint is that when we went to try the restaurant for dinner, we were turned away and told we had to have a reservation. When I looked in the restaurant throughout the evening, only one or two tables were taken. It was especially disappointing because we had already walked so far that day and were so tired, but we walked down the hill to a hamburger place and they took care of us quickly.

Limited food options, small menus, and same food everyday for the breakfast. Pillows were huge, and uncomfortable, but AC worked great. Most of the staff was friendly, and did a great job.

Outstanding place!

Fantastic place. The staff was very friendly, and you immediately felt welcome when entering. The place is bright, clean, cozy and has a nice open area where you can sit for coffee or a drink at night with large windows. The pool, sauna and Turkish bath is great and clean, just what is needed after a long day. I can highly recommend this place for anyone - and for people like us who are on the Camino journey! Thank you for having us!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, and had a little patio, but it overlooked the really busy main road so it was extremely noisy to open it and got fumes instead of fresh air in the room. But when the door was shut, it was much quieter.

The spa is incredible. Pedro is an absolute master, and the sole reason i hope to return! The hotel tries hard to be 'upmarket', but it's not pulling it off!! At a 'boutique hotel', I expected high standards. This is offered in some parts, such as the glass bottles of water replaced in rooms daily. I booked a superior deluxe room, but I struggle to see how this is what I received. No robe, stained pillows, having to run the shower for at least 5 minutes to get hot water and then the temperature varied constantly whilst showering, Conditioner not topped up despite being completely empty, cheap plastic bathtub in a marble-tiled bathroom... The restaurant is cheap with great pizzas, most of the staff are friendly. But in future, I will book somewhere else to stay and book into the spa separately.

Check in staff were lovely, food and drinks were a constant challenge with minimal customers and staff feeling overwhelmed. Seemed more concerned with polishing glasses than looking after people. Food was amazing once received. Room was dated and bathroom not very clean, very mouldy.

Stayed here several times in the last few years. Always enjoyed our stays, However, this visit was disappointing. Perhaps it was the lack of staff over a weekend but….. got the wrong room, no towels in the reassigned room and room was not cleaned at 17.30 the following day. We’re old farts and needed a lie down….. Front desk was very professional and apologetic. This hotels has little competition at this price point, and has so many things going for it, but this visit was less than memorable

Excellent spa hotel near beaches and restaurants

Staff were friendly and helpful at check-in, making spa treatment and dinner arrangements for us. Clean and comfortable rooms with TV, fast wifi, coffee machine. Nice soaps and extras in the bathroom. Spa facilities excellent for massage treatment or just a swim/sauna session. Plenty of choice at breakfast and selection from the bar before dinner.

We were in Vila do Conde for a wedding on the beach. This hotel was convenient to get ready for the wedding. We didn't have time to use the pool or spa. It was a 16 minute walk to the beach. There were not many shops or dining options near by. The breakfast provided had a great variety. The staff was courteous and helpful. For the price it was a great value.
