The room was very pleasant stylish, and clean and had everything we needed. We were a bit disappointed the rooftop pool was closed for refurbishmen during our visit. Being older folks, the online check-in and access codes were a bit alien to us, but it all worked ok. Breakfast was good quality and the fare was constantly refreshed by the staff. On the negative side, the water pressure in the shower was poor. We found the location for us absolutely spot on being very close to the waterside and local attractions. After checking out both sides of the river, we preferred the Gaia side and the quiet side street and traffic controlled zone meant there was little noise at night. There was some disturbance from events at the nearby World of Wine but this didn't go on late. We found the smaller eateries, cafies and bars on the side streets near the accommodation suited our taste and were usually very good quality and value. All in all we would not hesitate to recommend it.

Lovely stay here. Great location with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. Apartment has everything you need for a few days away. The beds are really comfortable and the place was spotless. Good value for money would definitely recommend this place to future travelers.

This is the second time I have stayed in this property, the first time was back in June with my kids, and this time was November with my boyfriend. It was an excellent day both times. The owner of the property recognize me and she was so kind and treated us so good. The location is convenient, it’s close to the river where all the restaurants and music is happening. Everything is within walking distance.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Studio apartment was fantastically equipped. From olive oil sachets for cooking, to toiletries, tiny wardrobes and the tv thats also a mirror. Check in details came through early which was a big bonus. The building is in a really good location, just set back from the riverside. Supermarkets and cafes and restaurants on the street. The view from the rooftop bar and pool made it such a relaxing place to watch the sunset. The view is amazing. Staff were really friendly. A thoroughly good stay, have recommended to friends.

Close to the vibrant night life

The location was exceptional and the view to the WoW new attraction was superb . We were three and had room 405. The couch was not a pull out couch so it was slightly hard for my taste. There was no warm water in the master bathroom shower, but I loved the fact that there were two bathrooms. And the main bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It had an elevator and also had a massage and spa which being a weekend was closed. The pool was more of a tank with resistance but there were always one or two people that did not mind. We loved our stay and will come back!

Hostless checkin worked well with clear instructions for door codes, works well for self sufficient travelers. large shower, compact but functional kitchenette, fair breakfast served if that option is chosen, nice rooftop patio and pool (though unheated) Less than perfect: TV in dining part of room.. not viewable from the bed, room facing the street had higher than average noise..don't expect a quiet night sleep if you leave your sliding terrace doors open.. the buildings along Rua de Candida de Rues are like an echo chamber with every loud exhaust sound reverberating up to the rooms! To their credit, there are modern HVAC units in the room so a comfortable room temp can be maintained without opening the sliding doors.

We didn't realize from the Expedia listing that this was more airbnb than hotel. At the end of a very long travel day we were stressed at having to create a whatsapp account and having to get a code and punch it in on a street side. I like a reception desk with a person to speak to. Having said all that about the check in process, we had a really excellent stay. The place is spotless and well located. Absolutely everything provided and a small grocery shop close by. No cleaning is provided during the stay. We stayed 6 nights and when we asked for clean towels and a tidy up on the afternoon of day 4 we were told no. After pleading, they did come in and empty our garbages that afternoon. I would give a 4 out of 5, and the only point off is for the things we weren't told up front.

Lovely clean room with a balcony overlooking the street where you could catch the morning sun. Staff in the breakfast room were very accommodating and even opened a little earlier on our last day as we had a train to catch which was much appreciated. Fantastic view of Porto and the Bridge from the breakfast terrace and a couple of deckchairs available for an hours recuperation in the sunshine after walking all the hills of Porto. The pool was being repaired so couldn’t use it, but the weather was not quite warm enough for that anyway. The hotel is in a brilliant location, just 20 mins scenic walk across the Bridge into Porto and would definitely stay here again as lots of bars and restaurants around. Only issue we had was some confusion when arriving where we were trying to enter the wrong building and then got in wrong lift so couldn’t find our room number, but all was resolved by carefully re-reading the instructions sent to us.

This hotel is in a great location, with good cheap restaurants close by. The breakfast is also pretty good. But the main attraction is the bar across the street. Here a group of alcoholic, deaf old men run entertainment from 1600 to 2400 nightly. This includes playing music loudly, 'singing', shouting, letting off fireworks, and occasionally fighting in the street. Don't worry that your room is only 15 metres away -- you won't miss a sound. The virtual front desk means that all your fellow guests will be aficianados of deprecated Microsoft products. In fact, the hotel is so popular that they try their best to make sure that guests only stay a single night: one roll of toilet paper, two coffee pods, one dishwasher tablet, one sachet of dishwashing soap, one set of towels, and one set of sheets. You can of course ask for another day's worth every day. So don't be concerned about your privacy -- the room will never be serviced, no matter how long you stay.
