This was an absolute gem of a find. Small, boutique style hotel at a very reasonable rate. Staff were incredible - super welcoming, friendly and fun - we really felt that we were being taken care of. Room was beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was amazing. Would 100% recommend.

Customer service at Prim and Proper is truly excellent and the hotel itself is fabulous, well maintained and beautiful with a real eye to detail. We enjoyed being located just outside of the historic area and the alternative options this offered for eating etc which we found to be excellent - including the hotels recommendation of O Freitas - just a few doors away and easily our best meal of the stay. We would definitely recommend and revisit Prim & Proper Porto.

Prim and proper was a great stay, the rooms are perfect and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was good but don’t expect a big buffet. Good dining options nearby (casa Guedes, get the de casa). Would definitely stay again when in Lisbon.

The room was wonderful, the staff were super friendly and attentive. The breakfast was sometimes slower than others, but always good, you can also request if you wanted something a little different which is always great. We always got fresh towels when needed and fresh sheets too. There are some minor repairs needed in the rooms, due to water damage and it can get a little loud to the back from Thursday to Saturday (not all days it changes) but nothing crazy. A bigger fridge would also be better. The locations is great, restaurants everywhere, also right next to the hotel, personal recommendations are: Kintsugi for a amazing crafted experience and Antú for Lunch.

One of the best private hotel i have been in. V The architecture and design if bluffing. The rooms are very nice, unique and very comfy. Good sound isolation. The bathroom was beautiful. Noble materials. Nice staff and good breakfast. I strongly recommend it.location was good too.

We stayed for our honeymoon! The hotel was beautiful - very stylish! The staff were wonderful and made our stay memorable by putting roses on our bed and a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival! Breakfast was ok - basic choices and served a purpose. One thing - the bed - it wasn’t good! This may be personal choice - my husband found it ok- but I woke up so sore every morning, I even used the pillows from the sofa because it was like using balloons otherwise. And we did loose our lights twice - the staff were apologetic and quick to rectify this however. Other than this - our stay was wonderful!

Travel in late April 2026 to Porto. This is a small hotel with only 9 rooms. Rooms are large with a small kitchen that we didn't use. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A minor complaint is the bath shower accumulate water when showering. Not to have the water flow too much and sweep the water toward the drainage when showering. Certain rooms face the back where there are restaurants. So at night can be noisy. But people tend to clear before midnight.

What can I say about Prim and Proper? From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, the service and overall experience was top-notch. Every single member of the staff that we interacted with were positive, attentive, warm, helpful, and professional -- from the front desk, all the way to the cook in the restaurant. There aren't enough words to describe how well we were taken care of. The décor and vibe of the entire property is also on point, and the rooms are the kind you actually look forward to coming back to after being out all day. On check in, we were welcomed with a complimentary meat and cheese board, as well as two lovely glasses of red wine. Our package also included breakfast, which was always prepared fresh to order, and tasted delicious. Our room was clean, organized and properly stocked (though maybe some hooks in room 4.2 to hang bathrobes/bath towels would be nice). Cannot say enough good things about the exemplary level of care exhibited at this hotel. Suffice to say, we will be back, and would wholeheartedly recommend Prim and Proper due to their aspirational level of hospitality and attention to detail. Spectacular Stay at Prim & Proper

Our stay was so enjoyable and lovely. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Also, we were able to sleep very well thanks to blackout shutters. We had the breakfast every morning and it was delicious and the coffee fueled our Porto exploration. I have already told friends and family to stay here when they visit.
