This hotel was absolutely fantastic! In a beautiful older castle, the amenities were top-notch! The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and the staff are tremendous! The restaurant and the pool bar were fabulous as well. It was a little bit from the city main center, but it was fabulous to come back to and relax. I would definitely recommend five stars!

The most beautiful palace. Moorish doorways, frescoed dining areas, manicured ground. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Incredible infinity outdoor and an indoor pool. Balcony bar overlooking the Douro River.

Beautiful hotel, a little out of the way, but there is a free shuttle twice a day to their other property at the foot of Luis Bridge, book early as space is limited. The breakfast is amazing!
