Clean room, nice staff at reception and concierge. A small boutique hotel, out of the main Porto stretch, a 25 min walk to the river or 3 euro in a taxi. What lets this hotel down is the attention to detail. Had to wait 2 hours for room to be ready, pool furniture was missing cushions so couldn't sit down outside. Tea coffee making in room - no milk, no English breakfast teabags. Breakfast buffet is 20e, nice restaurant but all hot food on the buffet electric hobs was luke warm. Toast machine had been switched off. That makes if 4 star, not 5.

Situated in a lovely part of the city, this oasis of a hotel was quite a surprise. Definitely not in at the touristy area and that was what made it really wonderful. We were able to go to the busy parts in the daytime and then come back to this wonderful garden behind the walls. Spectacular restaurant space and very attentive and pleasant staff all around.
