We asked twice about blankets. Staff never informed us about why we did not get it. We asked and was told that there are too many occupants. Breakfast was very limited. The only bright spot was cleaning staff.

Just perfect - IBIS gave me what I required: a comfortable bed, a clean room, a hot shower, a place to be and a good breakfast … and at a good price. Will def go there again

The hotel is conveniently located. I’ve stayed at Ibis hotels before and found very simple and pleasant hotels, but on this occasion our shower and sink clogged easily, and the toilet paper hanger was falling apart. The included breakfast was fair and staff was very kind and helpful. Would recommend for a single night stay.

The hotel was perfect for our needs. Room was clean, breakfeast was good and fresh and staff was very friendly. The area outside the hotel is a bit dirty but I would comeback there in the future. Everything we did amd saw was between a 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.

Short break trip to Porto. Usual IBIS hotel, very good standard in a convenient area of the city with reasonable facilities nearby. Breakfast included pancakes.

Booked with almost zero notice due to cancellation of flight. Checked in and they had a room that I could get into at approx 11:30 (check in normally 14:00) Centrally located. Nice and quiet sleep with blackout curtains. Pillows aren’t to my liking [common in Europe]

Convenient location and good clean inexpensive 2 star hotel. Breakfast was very good. One member of staff was a bit short when speaking to my sister who was trying to communicate in Portuguese. The member of staff told her it would be better to speak in English. Perhaps a cultural issue, but my sister thought she was trying to use Portuguese and did not expect to be told to stop using Portuguese and switch to English

Disappointing stay in Porto

This place needs some work. There were homeless people living in the entry way, the staff at the front desk and breakfast were not welcoming or kind. The advertising all talks about "service with a smile" yet not one employee ever smiled. We were told we'd get a discount for parking, yet we paid what the sign at the entrance of the garage said. The breakfast was minimal and not repeatedly stocked. Overall the worst place we stayed in Portugal.

Pros: the staff were very friendly, thanks for the early check in, room was very clean and very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, love the supermarket downstairs, good location walkable to many attractions, elevator worked well. CONS: No cool air conditioning, when I turned on the air con it was just a fan causing the room to smell of cigarettes, my guess was the air intake was near a smoking area, there were homeless and sketchy looking guys hanging near the entrance.

The staff were good but when we needed something and reception staff were detained dealing with a large group checking in, we had to ask the staff working the bar to call us a taxi because there was only one staff working reception. The rooms for 2 people are quite small but very clean. The mattress was a thinner mattress on top of another mattress. The top mattress often shifted in the night. On occassion, we almost landed on the floor. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of options. ! The location is great. It is within walking distance to bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a grocery store next door which is convenient.
