Very good hotel, a little small but cozy, my only advise is that you are not going to find the entrance from the street, is to the side of the building behind a restaurant of the corner.

This hotel is very cool. One of the most special boutique hotels you will ever experience. The room has great views outside. The bathroom is spacious. The owners have thought of every aspect you will want for.your stay. The breakfast is especially delicious and well crafted and to eat it out on the veranda gives you special views of the river and action below. The bed is comfortable and easy to rest well .

Gran Cruz House is an exceptional place to stay, perfectly situated right on the Douro River. The location is unbeatable, with everything you could want or need just a short walk away. Breakfast was superb, and I highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant as well—the food was delicious. Be sure to sample their outstanding port wine too! The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Gran Cruz House to anyone visiting Porto!

Gran Cruz is a lovely hotel well located near the river. It is quite small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was excellent with good options. Location in the city is great for seeing all of the touristy spots.

The staff was friendly, we had the White room located on the 6th floor with the river view and what a view. Overlooking the Douro River, the room was very clean and when we walked into the room there was a complimentary bottle of their Port Wine for us to have while we stayed or take with us when we left. Breakfast began at 8:00am at the Casario Restaurant located within the Hotel and it was a Continental a La Carte, we had the option to sit inside or outside looking out to the Douro River. The breakfast was also endless and the staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed during breakfast. When we checked out it was quick and easy. There was complimentary Port Wine at the front desk as well where you could try all the different kinds of Port Wine from Ruby to Pink to Tawny. You’re right on the Ribeira and can catch any of the Douro River Tours and restaurants are plenty within walking distance, as well as the Dom Luis Bridge is right nearby as well. You’ll definitely not be disappointed with this room and hotel, especially with the river view!

Bruno was very helpful! He arranged for a shuttle to pick us up at the Douro Marina, and he also made reservations for us at your restaurant, Casario. (Bruno was very quick to respond to any communications with us.) The Casario restaurant was absolutely amazing! Very good! Would definitely recommend! And the next morning, Bruno was there to serve us a most wonderful complimentary breakfast! I just wish we had decided to stay a few more days in Porto. We had a wonderful, but too brief, visit there! I will definitely recommend the Gran Cruz House to friends who plan to visit Porto!

This property was really clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. They book both a transfer from the train to the hotel and a wine tour for us. Both went smooth and were good. Had water in the room and complimentary wine. The AC was a little weak but could still feel it.

Nice location!! Very lively!! The staff is very nice and helpful especially Mr Bruno at the check-in desk! A little noise at night due to party goers late. Excellent breakfast and top rate dinner in the restaurant (must try lollipop). Will stay there again if coming back to Porto!!

Lovely little hotel with very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Only problem is the musicians playing outside all day up to about 10pm. They all suffered from being too loud and most of them were tone deaf.
