The hotel was modern and very clean. The front desk staff and the concierge were amazing, they were very friendly and responsive. The location is excellent, you have shopping right next to the hotel and there's another mall almost across the street. The view from the room was great, I had a great view of Guaiba Lake. We paid for valet parking and it was worth it, never a problem. Just park in front of the hotel and turn in your keys. I highly recommend The DoubleTree Hotel in Porto Alegre. I will be staying there the next time I visit Porto Alegre,

Modern and well-maintained facilities ensure a comfortable stay, reflecting thoughtful design. Service with a Smile (Mostly): The staff are undeniably friendly and welcoming, a real asset to the hotel. However, I did encounter a few moments where detailed information felt a bit hazy, leaving me wishing for more confident and clear communication. Breakfast: Good, Not Great: The breakfast spread is certainly adequate, featuring fresh ingredients and a decent variety. But, it lacked that "wow" factor. Verdict: A solid choice overall. The prime location and quality amenities make this a worthwhile stay. With just a few tweaks to service clarity and breakfast offerings, this hotel could easily go from good to exceptional.

So beware staying here during a wedding as they evidently refuse to have more than one valet even knowing the hotel will be full. We got stuck trying to get out for our own party elsewhere. Nothing like being stuck in an island of empty cars and one poor guy trying to do the work of 15. Other than that it’s pretty good, the employees were great and friendly and access to the mall and restaurants is decent. The SOB who parked outside the hotel at 2am to 4 am to test out his subwoofers will long be remembered.

I was at the hotel in March and again in September, and both check-in processes was extremely slow and I travel all the time. The hotel is connected to a mall, which is convenient for picking up things that you need on the road and the room service include was very good. Just be sure to prepare an advance to leave some time for a check in and check out so you’re not late for appointments.
