“We really enjoyed the stay. The owner, Richard was lovely and friendly. It’s an old guesthouse, but it is part of its charm, and the room was kept clean. We stayed in a twin room, we wished that there had been a bedside ramp, but it’s not the end of the world. The only thing that we will miss would be there is no fridge if we visit in warmer days. “Great location, easy self check in. The whole place was clean and in good condition. Simple self service breakfast with good coffee. If there was one word of warning... if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. Someone in the next room was an impressive snorer and I didn't have any!”

“The views are excellent- Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms very comfortable but warning of some sloping ceilings! Amenities very good - good value for money. Breakfast very good. Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay! Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening.”

The mattress was completely shot—sagging with metal springs that poked into my body every time I moved. “The room was terrible with a smashed bathroom basin, so I asked for another room. The 2nd room had a smelly damp, mouldy bathroom. There were no common areas. The bar/restaurant areas were kept closed/locked. Reception staff were not at the hotel full time. Only sporadically during the day.”
