Clean, comfortable, and cozy. Easy walk to restaurants. Would definitely come back next time I'm staying overnight before flying out of Portland airport.
I loved the food included, breakfast and more. There was even gluten free options. Beautiful house, great neighbourhood and the bed was so
comfortable! En suite bathroom was very clean and great lighting to do my makeup. Everyone was friendly, I highly recommended staying here.
Very comfortable and the location is ideal. Great restuarants, bakeries, bars, etc all within a block or three. Well worth it but there are a couple downsides. It's an older house so creaky floors, and its located on a busy road. No matter, we would stay here again for sure.
Beautiful guesthouse in a fantastic neighborhood. The room was clean and spacious, and the guesthouse includes continental breakfast and all day snacks. We will definitely stay here on future visits!
This spot is super cozy and Portland-chic. The historic home is beautifully maintained with some great modern additions. I loved soaking in the claw foot tub!

We had an amazing experience staying at the Bluebird house. Breakfast was delicious every day with fresh pastries. The location is perfect for dinner or drinks and we used the bus system for our vacation with an easy pickup down the block. Would HIGHLY recommend this location.
Great place. Right in the midfle of busy SE Portland. Close to so many great restaurants & bars. shops yet a respite from the clamor of the neighborhood. Great 24/7 breakfast/snack items. Quiet, cozy room & great batroom. Lovely, older decor. Staff was friendly. Bluebird Guesthouse was a real lifesaver during a difficult time in Portland.
Great location nearest excellent eateries on Crossing Street and fun shops. Wonderful sweet room. Only complaints is there was this creepy light that shined over the bed for a few minutes when you turned out the light --super creepy and the people in the house above us came in very late, like 2am, creeking about so awoken and for some of us, it's hard to go back to sleep. Wash available if your mid trip and need to wash your things. Super convenient and cozy.
Very unique place, has some very nice personal touches with lights and fake fireplace outside the room. Very nice location for walking and finding food, shops, art galleries, etc. Donut shop up the street and great food trucks right around the corner.
Charming and well designed remodel of an older Bungalow. We loved it, especially after meeting and speaking to the owner. Lots of choices of breakfast and snack foods. The room was comfortable and welcoming! Will return again!!
I’m a person who loved privacy and this guest house was great for that. There was a coded entry and I never had to interact with anybody. Great location. I loved the creative touches like the Elliot Smith room etcetera. I would stay here again.
A fun, funky old house with kind of an upscale hostel feel. Individual rooms with private bathrooms, big communal kitchen with lots of breakfast items to fix yourself. Parking is tricky as it is street parking only in a busy and popular area. You may have to walk a couple blocks but felt pretty safe. Great location! Would def stay here again.
Beautiful old house with full access to kitchen for do it yourself breakfast in lovely back porch. In great area with access to all you need. Parking can be a bit hard in late afternoon. Parking at night and in morning no problem.
Would definitely return!
Right in the heart of my favorite part of Portland. Comfy beds, very clean, cozy homey rooms. Really everything one could need. My only complaint is the A/C in the Kinsey room is loud. But in the middle of summer, you need to have it on.
Staying at the Guesthouse felt like a throwback to a gentler, more community-minded era. The room was lovely with a super comfy bed. It was the first night on a long trip of one-night stays that I slept well. The kitchen was generously stocked with breakfast supplies and snacks. Right around the corner was a food truck ally, had a delicious dinner (Indian food). Great neighborhood, but most importantly, the lovely, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere at Bluebird Guesthouse. Thank you!
This is a simple guesthouse, right on Division close to dining, shops, and the people we were visiting. Parking is on the street, but I've never had a problem finding a spot, break-ins, etc.
Depending on the room, some of the fixtures could stand an update, but on the other hand, they are all vintage, so that is part of the charm.
We have always stayed in hotels when we have travelled to Portland in the past, but we have been curious about trying this guest house, and on our recent trip, we finally tried it. What a pleasant surprise! The room was very comfortable, the self-service kitchen was well stocked with various food items to feed the guests with cereals, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. It had the feel of staying in the guest room at a friend's house. Very sweet. We will stay there again the next time we visit Portland.
Bluebird Guesthouse is exactly as described. I had an issue with my room as I thought I had booked a room with an en-suite bathroom (per Expedia message). However, upon check in this was not the case. Tiffany and Chris were so helpful and it worked out that a room with en-suite bathroom was available and they were able to move me over. I was so thankful for their help! Next time I will book directly through the property. Otherwise, they had great breakfast options readily available. Other guests was so respectful and quiet at appropriate hours. I was able to find street parking in the neighborhood. And there are so many fantastic restaurants, coffee and dessert shops within easy walking distance. I would stay here again.
LOVED staying in this 1910 guesthouse! Craftsman style architecture, plenty of built-ins, clawfoot tub, sky-light window to fall asleep under…the house definitely displayed its age but well-kept and clean! Our bathroom was literally next to our room, which I wasn’t thrilled with at first, but really didn’t mind as the house was pretty quiet and private. Breakfast options were the best around and staff was friendly. I’m more of a private person, so the self-check in and check-out were perfect, and we were able to eat by ourselves in the enclosed porch area. I could see street parking might be an issue on busier nights, but we had no problem finding a space, and even if you have to walk, it’s worth it. Thank you!
We stayed for 8 days at the Bluebird Guesthouse. I really like staying in a house rather than a hotel. There is plenty of food available for breakfast in a real kitchen. It is nice to be in a quiet house with no radio or tv blaring. There is internet access, but we used it only as necessary. There is a bookcase with books and games in the living room. We played Scrabble and Bananagrams and had a hilarious time playing the Office trivia game.
We were in the Gabriel Marquez room, the room on the first floor with a fireplace room right outside it. It was spacious and clean.
The clawfoot tub was a bit difficult to climb in and out of, but the shower was good. The handle for the hot water is loose and fell off several times, but it still operated.
I would stay here again.
