The check in was easy, they even stored my suitcase for a few hours when I arrived early. The room was so very nice with a great view of the harbour. The dinner and breakfast I had at the restaurant were delicious. Best location in town. Beautiful place to visit.

Our room was up several sets of stairs, but as a result had a magnificent view of the port. Since the room was in the roof cavity it had low oak beams and the internal stairs were a potential risk when going to the bathroom at night, but it was lovely to be in a property with such character.

Clean room very helpful staff. Breakfast was ok. Limited buffet selection. Only 3 pieces of bread put out for toast.cooked breakfast was too greasy for us. Negatives- very poor WiFi. Couldn’t get it at all in room and staff unable to rectify. Bathroom very small and it’s a good job I had t eaten any Cornish cream teas as wouldn’t have fitted in the smallest shower in the world. Decor in room needs attention considering room rate!

Lovely place but limited dining as it’s out of season. Rome was lovely with a good view. You have to park at the top of the hill but would stay again

From start to finish we had a great stay at the Slipway. Room 11 is wonderfully quirky with a lovely outlook over the port. Spotlessly clean and tidy, we couldn’t fault anything and all the staff were brilliant so well done to all! We intend staying again soon. Parking is a 10 minute walk but not a long way to go and £11 a day or £29 a week

This is a very busy property and we felt the need of more immediate attention to our needs. This is not a property to be negotiated by the elderly. We had suitcases. We wished we had some prior notice/suggestion to repackage our necessities for portage down the hill from the car park to the property. The charm of this place is offset by the difficulty accessing it. We loved the views, the side alleys and the architecture but this is not a walkable venue for anyone with hip, knee or foot issues. We did not understand the conventions of one-way travel on the narrow roads. It was frightening, but worth it, in the end. Our Doc Martin tour was exceptional. The fire fighters serenade on the platt will live long in my memory. What a beautiful, remote place this is.

Staff were very welcoming, room nice and clean, the bed very comfortable, plenty of tea & coffee in room, nice view of the water from our room 5, smaller than expected but nice overall, breakfast was lovely, only downside is the lack of parking near by but we knew this prior to booking so came as no surprise. Would stay again if in the area.

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Lovely clean room with balcony looking out towards port Isaac. My husband had the full Cornish breakfast which was huge plenty of variety. Staff so friendly couldn't do enough for you. Only problem is have is that I can't return with my little dog as the rooms are not pet friendly which is a shame

Went for a relaxing break in Port Isaac and stayed here in room 5 which had a lovely view of the slipway. Room not very spacious and with only one chair which meant one of us had to sit on the bed but not too much of a problem. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The toilet was practically touching the ensuite door so a visit in the dark in the middle of the night left me with a head injury when I closed the door and went to sit down! I think they heard the bang it made in Newquay. This is a very old pub with lots of original quirky features so if flat walls and modern surroundings is normally your thing this may not be for you. Food from the menu ok, very little choice which would make me choose somewhere else to eat if we went back. I also received the wrong order which had to go back but the breakfast was great!. Tip - Park your car in the carpark on New Road if you can. The walk to the slipway is down a coastal path and will take you around 8 mins on foot. It gives you the option of one or two days and then jumps to a week. If you are staying more than 2 Nights choose the week as it's only a little more than the price of 2 days and cheaper than updating as you go!
