The location was very convenient for shopping, restaurants and the Four Mile Beach. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very helpful with organizing a tour to the Daintree rainforest which was just a short drive away. No elevators but staff carried luggage to the room and were very friendly

Charming suite.

We arrived in mid afternoon and were warmly greeted and welcomed. We were told about the room and then made our way. The property is convenient to everything being right downtown next to restaurants, coffee shops and retail. The room was clean and most everything we needed was there. Staff were friendly and competent. The property is older but clean and we were sad to leave having enjoyed a wonderful sytay.

Location is second to none. The heated pools are such a bonus too. The property itself is dated and run down. They are embracing the villa/tuscan style which allows for more grace when it comes to cleanliness and the overall appearance. This property was more budget friendly compared to other properties in the area. I like that our kids had their own bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a horrible smell come from the drains in the bathroom and we had construction work happening in the lot next door for our entire stay (they even work weekends....). Luckily for us we were not in the apartment much - as we were out exploring most days. The garage could not safely accommodate out patrol as it was such a large vehicle, so they gave us a parking spot out the front of the unit outside which I thought was great. The unit itself has all the things you need for a holiday ie. fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer etc. They even have free washing machines and dryers located in another part of the building. It just needs a major update (some new paint and furniture would do wonders for this property). If you're looking for super clean/new accomodations - give this one a pass, if you want somewhere to lay your head in a great location, you'll probably love it!

Very well located on the main street between the inlet and the beach. Generous size rooms and an outside balcony overlooking some greenery. Laundry facilities are not in the room but they are free and accessible. The car park is very tight and would not suit a large car but overall a great place to stay in Port Douglas, and reception staff we’re very friendly

This place is good for a short stay in port Douglas. The place is very clean. However, there is a smell of a certain chemical for cleaning or pest control that is somewhat bothersome. It would be great if Changes to the time for the barrier reef tour booked with the hotel were communicated with us.

No elevators but good location

This is not a hotel but a small apartment unit. We had a nice unit with view of trees and the flying foxes(bats)! Amazing. Not so amazing was the absence of elevators, no daily cleaning and only one soap bottle in the bathroom which bothered me ( you need to remember to take it out of shower and put back by sink. I asked for another but was denied) Did love the location on the main street.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa San Michelle. For the price, the quality was great. We asked for a private, quiet apartment and it was delivered. The apartment was tastefully renovated and clean. There was a problem with the bedroom aircon but it was tended to quickly. There was a dishwasher convection microwave and stovetop, which was pleasing. The shower was lovely and nice private small courtyard. The pool was shaded and the other in the sun, which was good. We would recommend Villa San Michelle to our friends and family.

Beware Cockroaches! This hotel was an absolute nightmare. Instead of relaxing and enjoying our vacation, we spent the entire stay battling cockroaches in our room. It was disgusting! We found them everywhere – the bathroom, the bedroom, even crawling on the walls. We contacted the hotel staff, hoping they would address the issue, they sent someone but also told us that cockroaches were common and basically "the norm". Seriously?? If infestations are a regular occurrence, they should at least warn guests beforehand! To try to minimize the impact, they actually told us to go have a look in the car park and see how many cockroaches were there. Like that's supposed to make us feel better?! To add insult to injury, when we asked for some kind of compensation for this horrendous experience, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They actually hung up the phone on us when we called after checkout! This hotel clearly has zero respect for its guests. Avoid at all costs! I would never recommend this place to anyone and I certainly won't ever be staying there again.

Villa San Michele is centrally located in the heart of town. Easy to walk to the beach and restaurants and shops. The WiFi and the smart TV are free and the kitchen is very clean. Also, there are free laundry services so it was a perfect place to regroup during our travels.

The location was excellent very central. The room was clean and well appointed. The 2 pools are quite small and always had noisy children playing in them - so couldn’t really use them, but the beach is close. We would stay for a few nights, but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay.
