“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“The staff were indifferent. Reception desk did not tell us that the hotel offered breakfast or that the restaurant was open for dinner. They also failed to mention that the Premium Plus room included the Ultimate WiFi service. The hand soap dispenser was empty. Later we discovered that the shower soap dispenser was also empty. The breakfast staff looked like they would like to anywhere else and were not very personable. The location was very convenient.”

“Hotel was good. Breakfast excellent. Staff helpful especially the late night door man. The only drawback is you have to book with the hotel itself, not through a third party,to have a reserved parking space. There is very limited parking on the surrounding streets.”

“We stayed with Sharon and Steve while walking the Two Moors Way and they were brilliant from start to finish. They went above and beyond to look after us, nothing was too much trouble after a long day on the trail. The food was excellent, proper home-cooked breakfast that was exactly what we needed to refuel. Sharon and Steve are genuinely lovely hosts, warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. The location is great and we'd happily stay again and would recommend them to anyone passing through.”
