Great location.Walkable to many notable historic sites in town and awesome bars/restaurants. Clean, recently renovated & friendly staff. Fun pool for the kids and adults will enjoy the hot tub which could use some updates. The restaurant (CJs), was closed due to an emergency renovation. I was notified about a week prior to my arrival about the restaurant being closed. It didn’t really affect anything- there are many great places to eat. Overall, a good stay.

We checked in and the were told “oh by the way, the restaurant is closed “. That was the main reason we chose the John Carver Inn and was very disappointed we were not told before we arrived. They offered a free continental breakfast which was not very good. They could have handled things much better.

Pool was the best thing about this place ...no laundry facilities, it could have also been cleaner. Extra beds are a fee but they dont mention that anywhere. Its a "family" hotel but they didnt accommodate a bed for my child to sleep. The reservation was for 5 people but only 4 got to sleep comfortably. Dont plan on going again.
From wiping the bathroom floor..we had just gotten there.
