“Good stay”

“OK, so it's a real prison. And we were staying off-season, and by chance we were the only guests there that night... and the check-in was all automatic. So the whole thing was kind of surreal as we walked around the prison yard, reading the signs about historic prison life etc. You REALLY get the vibe of being in an old gaol, so don't stay there if you're going to get freaked out by things like that. Beds were comfortable, room had everything we needed, but again remember: prison vibe. On the...

“I stayed for 16 night in the 3 bedroom house. Very comfortable and clean. Would highly rate the stay. A couple of things not working but let staff know, at end of my stay. Wasn't urgent to mention as it didn't have any impact on my stay. Only consideration I would mention is to supply better cookware, eg: saucepan set. The other facilities were excellent, crockery, cutlery, microwave, kettle, glassware. All good and clean. Loved having a lock up garage for security. Quiet location.”

“Clean room. We were in deluxe. Good value .”

“Rooms were huge, lovely bath in bathroom as well. But the man at the reception was amazing. Had alot of information about places to see and recomendations and even went out of his way to get more for us. Would def recommend this place”

“We only stayed for 1 night on the way to Adelaide but the hotel was excellent. Our room was huge, the food in the hotel was of a high standard and the staff couldn't have done enough to help us.”

“A great surprise! At first, it's a bit surprising the arrival at the hotel: you find a pub and a gambling room, and you must check in at the gambling room. But when you enter the rooms zone, wow! What a big room, with a comfortable king bed and plenty of space! You have a common kitchen with bacon, eggs, milk, cereals and so where you have to cook your own breakfast, but if you don't mind that (and I didn't), it's a very good option.”

“We were blown away by our stay in this wonderful property. It is small boutique hotel which has been immaculately restored by the owners. We had a suite consisting of a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. It was well equipped, warm and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the adjacent Commodore Hotel and the food was very good. This is one of the best places we have stayed in on our Australia trip.”

“Ubicado la pequeña localidad de penola el establecimiento es coqueto con habitaciones amplias y cómodas y fácil aparcamiento cerca de ellas. Tiene cierto gusto en la decoración y es ideal para visitar la zona vinícola adyacente.”

“Hotel agradable y tranquilo y el personal muy eficaz. Nos recomendó cosas para hacer en el pueblo mejor que en una oficina de turismo ”

“This place is perfect for the business traveller. Although parking is a bit of a squeeze, the rooms are spacious, comfy bed, have a great desk to work at, (no freezer in the fridge, though...) and walking distance to everything useful - supermarkets, food, pubs, banks and so on. This is not a 5 star rated premises (probably 3-4 star rating) but it is 5 star for the price. This will be my first choice in future when in Mount Gambier.”

“no one at the office during office hours”
