Rooms were clean, pool was nice, beach had seaweed this time of year but was still pretty and swimmable for part of the week. It’s a smaller resort so easier to get around. No lines, lots of chairs and places to chill out. Food at the buffet was ok, but the in air conditioned space was stifling. Restaurants were hard to book and meals often took a long time. Evening shows were enjoyable.

Great Family Stay — Excellent Kids’ Club We had a wonderful family stay at Viva Azteca. Our 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son loved the kids’ club, and Sehem and the rest of the kids’ club staff were fantastic with them. The staff were consistently friendly, polite, and helpful. Dayana at the front desk deserves special mention for going above and beyond to resolve an issue with our third-party booking. The food was good, and we especially enjoyed the sea bass at the Asian restaurant. The rooms are somewhat dated and would benefit from updating. Handheld showers would also be more convenient, particularly for families with young children. Overall, Viva Azteca is a welcoming, family-friendly resort with an excellent kids’ club and consistently polite, helpful staff.

Terrific place for an all-inclusive holiday. Resort is a bit dated but extremely well maintained and very clean. Staff were awesome and food was much better than we’ve experienced at similar resorts. A lot of kids and young families. Definitely recommend this place.

This resort was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Not a huge resort but big enough with plenty amenities. The outdoor bar and outdoor seating area near the pool area have a beautiful view to the ocean. The servers in the buffet and bartenders were so attentive and great.The bed and pillows in our room were very comfortable. This resort is also within walking diatance to the famous 5th avenue. I would definitely return to stay at this resort.

The hotel is nice, rooms are large, comfy beds and super friendly staff. Food quality is good and excellent variety in the buffet. Drink quality varies, wine is ok, cocktails are terrible, as in most all- inclusive hotels, not the best quality liquor and they artificial syrups. Mango margarita was undrinkable. Non-motorised water sports are included, which is very nice. We couldn't make the most of it due to weather though.

The place was very well organized and laid out, comfortable, calm, tasteful and had everything without seeming overdone or tacky. The spaces were well set in nature which made it so calming and relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were constantly cleaning and organizing the property. The place is also very respectful of the environment, as far as all-inclusives go. I was impressed with the minimal but very comfortable amenities in rooms, the use of reuseable items, towel and laundering protocols, timed lights and water faucets and beach care. It also avoided the various levels of exclusivity, access or inclusiveness. Everything was straightforward and everyone had access to everything, for the most part. It all felt simple and comfortable.

Air conditioning super loud, someone kept knocking on our door and running away. Staff came in and cleaned our room even when we have the snooze sign up. Staff also seemed super miserable to be there working. Not very many welcoming or friendly people working there.
