Just finished a solo trip and was my first time staying at this hotel. The staff was completely outstanding rooftop staff breakfast staff super nice would absolutely stay here again. Traveled by myself and been to Playa many times one block away from the walking street gorgeous gorgeous pool area. I would honestly say the only thing that lacked a little bit was the Jim, breakfast was good and 100% really happy with my choice of the hotel.

I had such a great stay at The Fives Downtown. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming, and the team really made a difference. A special thank you to Mr. Frank at check-in for the smooth and friendly welcome—he set the tone right away. The rooftop pool was one of my favorite spots, and the staff there were amazing. Jesús in particular stood out for his kindness and attention—he made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, everyone in the building made me feel genuinely welcome and safe throughout my stay, which meant a lot. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel is very well positioned in downtown PDC. It is in the heart of many restaurants, stores and the beach. However, the hotel itself was not in good repair and is in need of serious maintenance and updates. There was a leaking pipe at the entrance and the rooms had a moldy smell and a lot of moisture. I had to eventually request a dehumidifier because my sinuses were acting up so much because of it. I asked them to fix my bathroom light, which never happened but the cleaning staff were really very good. The breakfast options were minimal at best. The rooftop pool is amazing and has great views but that’s the only real amenity worth exploring in the hotel. There is a pharmacy on the ground floor which is convenient but spa rates were too high to even consider a treatment. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head but if you are an experienced traveler, you will be left wanting.
