We were so happy with our stay. The hotel is beautiful, clean, modern and feels very luxurious. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was very well equipped and cleaned well every day. We will for sure be staying here again and will be recommending the hotel to everyone.

I liked that the property was somewhat away from the noisy tourist areas but close enough to easily walk to the tourist areas when we wanted to. The beach was a short walk away as were several restaurants. A grocery store was a short walk (two blocks) away also. The room was very nice. The only drawback was that soundproofing between rooms was non existent. Our neighbours were quiet for the most part thank goodness but there were occasions when things got too noisy and patience was required.

Serenity was the perfect base for our exploration of Playa del Carmen. It was an easy walk to anywhere we went. Being off the main boulevard it’s quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Personally I found the mid-century modern design style quite appealing, but appreciated the upgrades in the kitchen. I would recommend this spot for an extended stay.

peaceful mid-range hotel
great location to get to know playa del carmen - very close to local places to eat and beach area that is not dominated by the big seafront party hotels. it’s about 1 mile from the bus station. service is great from most staff, just avoid the bar at the rooftop pool. the comp breakfast was lovely, just be sure to ask for all the options before ordering. pancakes, eggs, frijoles, orange juice were our faves!
