This is my second year in a row staying here and I can't say enough good things. We stayed in the Garden Suite Bungalow which was clean, spacious, and wonderful. The pool was always well maintained and they were always cleaning to keep things looking great. Staff was wonderful once again. The housekeeping kept making us these cute towel animals that just felt like such a nice touch. Right off of 5th avenue, everything you need is walking distance. I love it there and can't wait to book with them again!

I enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The hotel was literally steps away from 5th Ave, which is where almost everything is found at Playa del Carmen. Staff at the hotel were friendly. I must admit I would have Iiked the floor of the hotel room to be a little cleaner. However all in all I liked the hotel and would stay here again.

We loved our weeklong stay here. The rainforest vibe and secluded pools and waterfalls were just the atmosphere we wanted, and the location away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood was as very appealing. We had a room with a garden and soaking tub that gave the place the feel of an expensive boutique hotel for a fraction of the cost. The breakfast included with our room was small but excellent, and we made good use of the bar's happy hour. Superb margaritas!

I just wanted to share how wonderful our stay at the Palmar 3 Suite was! The suite has three stories. The first floor has a washer, dryer, master bedroom, and another bedroom with a full bathroom. The second floor is the main floor with the kitchen, living room, and another bedroom with a bathroom. The third floor is the rooftop deck with chairs. Each floor also has a balcony with chairs. The A/C worked great, we were actually cold, which we love. The staff was friendly and informative, and the suite is within walking distance to Quinta Avenida, the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The only minor complaint is the grill, they charge $25 each time you use it and clean it for you. We were too busy to use it, and I couldn’t find it on the rooftop where it should have been. Also, the toilets had low water pressure, but it wasn’t a big deal. Lastly, if you don’t mind noise, you’ll be fine. There’s loud music from restaurants and performances at night, which can be a bit much if you’re sensitive to noise. Other than that, this place was great, and we’ll definitely stay here again!

Being close to restaurants and shopping was really nice, the covered parking was secure, and the kids enjoyed the pool. However, we paid about $100 more to stay in the big house specifically for quiet and relaxation but we woke up to workers and jackhammering right outside our back window and it was unpleasantly noisy all morning. I understand construction needs to be completed but there was no warning on the website or from staff and I would have preferred moving rooms to a quieter part of the hotel than waking up to that. Really disappointing. I would recommend this place otherwise.
