Most of the facility has lots of construction, many of the amenities on the pictures from their website were not the same. There really is only 1 pool no water slide as pictured since it was under construction. The entire resort has a very strong swamp odor. Our connecting room door knob instantly fell off on the first day along with the lock on our door did not work and needed to be fully replaced. Our view from our suite was a drained out old pool under construction. The bath tub in our suite had yellow running water. There is never more than 2 restaurants open at a time. Limited options and men must be dressed suited no vacation ware. All of the excursions/activities that they say you can access at the resort were mostly unavailable. Kayaking and bike riding was pretty much the only option. I personally would not recommend this place and will not be coming back. Bartenders were the only thing that made the vacation ok.

We spent 7 nights here over Easter and really enjoyed our stay. The bedroom for 4 people was spacious and clean with a stocked mini bar. (We were 2 adults, 2 teens) The choice of restaurants is good, with a buffet restaurant , Italian - Porto Bella, Hacienda Grill, pizza, and Mexican choices, but our favourite was Kotori, the Asian option. It’s definitely worth booking for the Habatchi grill, Eduardo the chef was very entertaining and the portions were filling. Staff are very good about asking about food allergies. The coatis were a bit naughty and pinched some food from my beach bag! The guided Kayaking is free and worth doing but you have to prebook this on the same day but in advance via the concierge desk - so go early, it opens from 7am and there are 3 time slots available. Pool staff are friendly, Jose and Edgar took care of us and really helpful, as was Abel (Pedro) Pool towels are provided too. Buffet restaurant staff were all really good too particularly Hermania who cooked us fresh omelettes to order every day, and discovered she also had bacon on request too! Coffee and ice cream are readily available in the cafe, and the sports bar is good too but can get a little loud later in the evening. We booked a tour to Xcaret via Juan from Spark Travel who has a tour desk in the lobby. He was really knowledgeable and helpful too. So all in all, we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

Lots of construction going on, which we understand is necessary, but the dining was a mess that week. Of the 4 main restaurants, most were closed they other night, some nights 3 of 4 were closed. Dunno if it was staffing issues or what, but definitely changed the experience. Thank goodness for 24 hr room service, which was ok overall but very slow, always an hour plus wait for dinner.

We had a great time at Hacienda Tres Rios. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing at every restaurant, but we especially loved Alebrije. The activities that you can do are all fun and you are able to see the beautiful property. We loved seeing the adorable monkey and other wildlife. We would definitely visit again!

Beautiful property with lots to do onsite -- biking, kayaking, swimming in the pools, ocean and cenote, plus miniature golf, entertainment and water slides. Delicious food and drinks! Our only complaint was that we requested a king bed, but Expedia did not share our request with the resort. We were given a room with two queen beds and had to move to a room with a king the next day.

Customer service is terrible. Complained to front desk and they stated had to make a report. After several reports nothing ever happened. Hotel room AC did not work our first night. They then changed us to another room that the hot water did not work. One day the entire hotel did not have hot water. Need to have more dining options especially for breakfast. We were not members so we only had the buffet restaurant for 4 day stay. Outside of our patio smelled from the water . Disappointed in our stay here.

La propiedad está muy hermosa, Pablo Rendón en la registracion nos dio un servicio excelente, siempre pendiente de nuestros necesidades asta una simple curita te la conseguía, personas como él se merecen un reconocimiento su servicio era igual para todos miembros o no él daba lo mejor. pero el servicio para los que no somos miembros es diferente, en el servicio de la comida pedí más de una vez bebidas en la área de la playa que nunca llegaron, el restaurante de desayuno el servicio fatal nunca preguntaban si necesitabas algo, tienes que andar persiguiendo a los meseros para que te traigan las bebidas. Deberían tener un mejor trato también para los no somos miembros porque todos estamos pagando. Gracias a Pablo por su gran servicio al cliente.

Si no eres socio, no vayas. La atención y la comida es MUY MALA, y pequeño detalle los ríos tienen cocodrilos, un gran peligro si quieres hacer las actividades que ofrecen, nos tocó ver a “Pancho” el cocodrilo que suele visitar la zona de las albercas, los mismos salvavidas nos comentaron que el mayor riesgo de muerte en las actividades eran los cocodrilos y realmente es el único atractivo que tiene el hotel, la playa está muy fea, no hay sargazo pero es arena oscura y revuelta, ni en la orilla te ves los pies. En las albercas hay muy pocos camastros como para el 20 % de los huéspedes y no hay barra de bebidas, tienes que salir del agua a pedirlas, ofrecen cerveza en lata solo para socios, para los demás de barril y caliente, eso sí habitaciones remodeladas muy bonitas aunque estuvimos 4 días sin llaves porque no funcionaba el sistema, cada que queríamos ir al cuarto teníamos que ir antes a recepción a pedir que nos abrieran
