The manager Gerardo and his staff were great. For the money the hotel was a deal, pool area was nice and quiet. The lady that ran the breakfast was awesome and very accommodating. Very close to 5th Ave, upscale grocery store 2 blocks away and walmart was only a 10 - 15 minute walk.

Great budget option for the clean rooms and handy location, but noisy at night, overcrowding at breakfast and inconvenient that the pool is not available till 10am. Worth the trade off if location and budget are your priorities.

Easy check in and my room was cooled down and spotless. I stayed here a few weeks ago and found my go to hotel for Playa del Carmen. Affordable, clean and the location cannot be beat. I live full-time in Cozumel and this is where I come to get away from the island and shop.

The property is located close to la Quinta ave which is convenient but loud as the bar down the road plays loud music until 1:30am ish. The hotel has a lot of potential to be good. Rooms need to be updated, wifi connection on the second floor was spotty. Front desk wasn’t very welcoming or pleasant. The cleaning staff was nice. They offered complimentary coffee, tea and toast in the morning. The pool and garden area was nice but doesn’t get a lot of sun throughout the day.

Excellent hotel I have stayed there many times. It's very clean, the grounds are well kept and the staff is always friendly and very helpful. The location is 50 yards from 5th avenue but it's never noisy. Excellent bang for the buck.

You really go there only because is cheap , and your out of budget ! Pool is so dirty you cant swim , rooms all broken and rusted , the person at the reception very nice but is really only an option to stay somewherre and u have no extra money dont expect nothing nothing more then a room to stay . Breakfast is only a toast and jelly with coffee but i expected this for the price .

It’s a good price-quality deal. All in order, except that the headboard of the bed was noisy, it was not well installed. Also, the toilet got blocked all the time. We reported those issues but apparently nothing was done. The rest was very good.

Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Pool was decent. The property is old and needs to update bathrooms, they stink most of the time. TV didn’t work properly and hair dryer was broken (they gave us a replacement after a few days). The A/C is old and kept leaking most of the time. The staff was very helpful at all times and tried to do their best to keep guests happy

We got there for a 4 night stay. Upon arrival tv, didn’t work, air conditioning did’t work, and had no hot water. We were told maintenance would be there in 20 minutes. An hour and a half later they showed up and fixed air conditioning and half way fixed tv. We had cold showers for two days at which point we had luke warm showers. On the third day there was no propane so no hot breakfast. Location is great though. We had stayed there before and would consider again.

This property should be blacklisted. Our family vacation experience was disaster staying at the hotel since we checked in day 1. We were starting from low bar as our first choice hotel fell through turned out to be scam booking through Expedia. To our dismay there was no hot water available, for entire 5 days of our trip. Cockroaches in bathroom in each of the 3 rooms, all rooms had musty odor, towels provided had stains looked like blood, no phone in room, no microwave. We were stuck and out of luck as everything else was sold out. Location is convenient to Playa beaches and downtown area. how do you run hotel with no hot water ? Expedia needs to do better job listing properties on their site, vet out reviews as of writing review property had 8.6 rating which is scam. do not book even as last option.

I can honestly say this is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There was no hot water for the first two days of my stay. Even after they "fixed" the issue, the hot water was not hot, it was more lukewarm. Pros: - The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant to speak with. - The free morning breakfast was good. Each day there were changes to the menu. Cons: - No hot water for two days and lukewarm afterwards. - Do not stay in the rooms by the restaurant because they play music early in the morning (around 7:15am) which can be heard in the room. - The sheets and towels had stains on them. - No shower gel or shampoo is provided. - The bed was not comfortable. It was very firm. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

Desk clerks didn’t know how to locate our reservation even with the reservation number. Door to our room stuck on floor with door only half open, had to be bumped with your shoulder to open all the way. They left their cleaning carts and other junk piled next to our room door. The grounds were in a state of disrepair and the pool needed cleaning. The desk clerks failed to mention the continental breakfast or what was included, when I ask for milk for my coffee they told me that was not included, it would be 10 pesos more. Their juice wasn’t juice, but it was included. I’ve stayed in over 20 hotels in Playa and I can say this was my worst experience. We checked out after one night and found much better accommodations for less.

Nightmare at Playa del Carmen

We arrived at 22h to the hotel, traveling with a baby for a reservation we had previously paid. The hotel made us pay additional fees because they were a "new administration". Meanwhile, the baby was crying because she wanted to sleep and these people said either we paid or we went elsewhere. We had also requested a baby bed, which they did not have (would have been nice to know 3 months earlier when we booked the hotel). As we had a baby we had no choice but to pay. The room was horrible: broken window (which allowed mosquitos and lizards to get into the room), the floor was dirty, the sheets were stained with who knows what, the lamps did not work, there was no hot water... and the noise! There was very loud music playing until 2 am. A horrible stay and a horrible welcome from Gerardo and his team. We will not stay again here. We requested a refund from hotels.com and this hotel never answered to their calls.
