We had a great stay. We had a group of 15. Large resort with plenty to do for all ages (18-60) of our group. The only down side was the beach because of the sargassum but that was expected for this time of year. We had a great time at the pool bars. The food was surprisingly good.

This hotel was amazing, every restaurant was a different experience, food was delicious, buffets were great, good variety. There is plenty of animals on the property, they are wild animals but won't approach you or attack. Also, there is many no feeding the animals signs. The property is huge, have many activities, good music and a lot to do around. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, helpful. I would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Everything from check-in to check out was great. The resort is nice but they need more activities. The pools were Awsome never had to look for a chair. Food was good but need a little more variety like themed evenings. Breakfast was Awesome, Teppanyaki was a no-go food was way too bland they need more Asian spices and Miso Soup! The other restaurants on site were so-so! But all in all,I would return.

I stayed at the Grand Family Princess Sunset! It was upgraded all the rooms were refurnished and redone. My kids loved this place from the swim out pool, bunk beds, to the kids pools, and the kids clubs. The a la carte restaurants were designed really well, and the food was incredibly good. I was also impressed by the shows, all the dancers were professionals and live entertainment had everyone clapping. I would definitely come back to this resort. There were pools everywhere, and the main lobby was large, impressive and designed well.

I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews I came across on this website. This has truly been the best vacation I’ve ever had. The people, the food, the resort everything was impeccable and absolutely amazing. It was a lot, a lot of sargassum in the beach but to be honest it didn't bother me because everything else was AMAZING! My son’s 10th birthday was honestly the best trip of his life, and I say that as someone who has traveled quite a bit. They made his birthday so special that it’s something I will always remember. I love Mexico this was my first time visiting, and I will definitely be coming back again. I’ve already told all my friends about this place because it really is incredible. Thank you so much for everything!

I loved staying at the Princess, I previously stayed at the one in Punta Cana so I was so pleased that Playa Del Carmen was even better, the staff was so pleasant and inviting. The food is great, I love how they incorporate authentic Mexican dishes as well as many other cuisines. The only downside was the sargassum, the beaches were dirty and we were able to swim, that was a huge bummer for me. I really wish the resort made a bigger effort to try and clear it from the sand or have some barriers but I guess you can’t do much about Mother Nature.
