Not marketing - reality - Iberostar is a Star!!

It was amazing!!! Welcome-Team was great, room was great, everything was great. In January / February, it us also very affordable - Whenever I will go back to Mallorca in January (third time meanwhile), I will only chose Iberostar!!

Fantastic hotel in Playa de Palma

Fabulous hotel, staff were so friendly and welcoming. They brought a complimentary drink by the pool most days. Room was large and clean. Breakfast restaurant was lovely, great food choice. Location is very convenient to beach and Playa de Palma location.

Bad "customer service." Upsold us to a room that had smallest balcony in entire building. Put us at end of long hallway and walk knowing I had bad knee requiring surgery. Told us beach chairs and umbrella available for rental--a lie. None on beach in front of hotel. Chairs and umbrellas nearby were all rented by other tourists. Locked us out of room at 9:30 a.m. on day of departure and our rental car was waiting out front to move us out. Totally low class experience.

Beaches are public and had to rent chairs. You can only have one towel. Bad experience at spa. On the breakfast is served a lot of caned fruits. Front desk team are amazing specially Alex .

My wife and I stayed at this property and after three days of eating at the buffett we both became ill with what was apparently food born illness with severe nausea and vomiting, I suspect food born illness as I realized none of the food staff were using protective hand covering, As a physician I find this appalling from a hotel that claims to be 5 stars!!!!!

I like it very much and enjoyed the stay. The only thing I saw that could be improved are the dinning options in the hotel which are quite limited. Also the restaurant staff should allow customers in the dinning room to finish eating before picking up the service and the buffette. I saw this happening everytime the service hours were reached. Once a customer is let into the dinning room he/she should be able to access the buffet un full.

Expensive. It is very cheap that you have to pay for water at dinner buffet. At least a water fountain should be available if I don’t want a bottled water. Also at sunset bar where the Entertainement show is , to sit and watch it you have to order a drink! Every place is like a trap for you to pay more.

The hotel is nice enough but at around £300 a night does not represent good value for money. For example the room has a coffee maker but only 4 capsules which for replenishment costs €6. That is not what you expect given the price point. The gym was basic with max 10kg dumbells. Final gripe is the rooms lack privacy with no separate door between bedroom and bathroom, and the terrace was average. The staff were friendly and helpful and the spa facility was quite good. Close to the sandy beach. Overall a good 4* but a disappointment for 5*.

While it's a full five-star hotel, it's not so big, so that it feels more like a club than an impersonal hotel. But it has all the necessary facilities. No fancy foyer or other trappings, but if you want a very quiet, clean comfortable room, in a friendly environment right next to the sea, with a terrific swimming pool, bar, restaurant, spa (small, but pleasant, and spotless), I'd recommend it. As importantly, the staff are so friendly and helpful, but not in a fawning manner. As it's quite small you feel you get to know each other over a few days. The only pity is that, on both my visits, the Sunset Bar was closed (but I was still able to go up with a drink from bar down below, to see amazing sunset, but no atmosphere, as no one else there). I am surprised May would be out of season? It's great there is no music by the pool during the day (unlike most other hotels) and you can hear birds chirping! At night the rooms are so quiet, and I slept the best I have ever, in any hotel. You can walk through their own gate into the sea - and the area is nice with some funky bars and nice restaurants. Yet, it's only about 25 mins by bus (leaves right outside the front entrance every 15 mins) to the centre of Palma, for 2 euro! And the airport bus only takes 15 mins and leaves every 30 mins (five euro). It would also be good to have some tea and other drink options in the room.

Here’s a concise and impactful review you can post on Expedia: ⸻ We were required to pay for all 9 nights upfront before even seeing the room. The first room was freezing, with only a sheet for bedding, and the shower leaked into the main living area. Staff admitted no other rooms were available and refused any refund, even though this was night one of nine. On night three, we were moved to a different room, which they called an “upgrade”—but it was a hassle for our family of four to repack and relocate. Poor service, broken promises (like a comped dinner they later revoked), and an overall disappointing experience. Would not return.
