Some safety concerns

The staff was very friendly at the front desk. The first room we were assigned, the door was open when we approached, the deadbolt was engaged, and the door could not be shut. Our second room, the deadbolt worked. However, the floors were filthy and there was a very odd odor. There were no issues with parking.

The beds were comfortable and tv was good. I liked that we had a mini fridge. Fairly clean. The bathroom sink didn’t drain, very slow drain which was funky. we had trouble with the room key card not opening the door. But it was ok. Staff was nice.

I want to start by saying I am local to the area. The check in process was smooth. Once in the room I was a little stunned that the room didn’t look like the online picture and then there was blood on the sheets. Called down to the front desk to inquire about moving rooms and was told there were no rooms. There was no attempt at a resolution by the front desk attendant. I had to ask for replacement sheets and that seemed like a problem. But it was resolved nonetheless. I know this is out of the hotel control but there were multiple police at the hotel for about 4 hours on Sunday. It would have been nice to just receive some sort of communication that there was not anything to be alarmed about

Staff friendly, but room not clean.

Although staff was really nice, room was terrible. Oily condensation running down walls. Hair on walls, sink and tub and hole in wall. Didn’t feel comfortable showering in the tub or walking barefoot because the floor is dirty.

I paid for the premium room. The first room was ok. We had issues getting in to the room because of the lock so the front desk clerk changed our rooms. That room was slightly better cleanliness wise. However throughout the weekend, we had issues with that lock as well. The hotel definitely needs to update all of the rooms and locks to justify the price. I'm happy I paid for an upgraded room or who knows what kind of conditions the room would have been.
