This is the barn located behind the Pfeiffer house where Ernest Hemingway penned A Farewell to Arms. He was married to the daughter of Paul Pfeiffer, Pauline. They were married from 1927 to 1940 and had two children. The home and barn are currently owned by Arkansas State University.
