Place was so convenient for the ferry, it looks new compared to the other backpackers hostel across the road which is grubby Nicky was so helpful Inside the walls are new , carpet new and cleaned and the kitchen great, marvellous sitting lounge TV room too

The room was so fresh looking and very roomy, I love how easy check in and out is and appreciate the good facilities and shared living space. Love the views from the verandah. My second visit to The Boathpuse Lodge and another very pleasant comfortable experience.

This place is a gem. Located across the street from Intercity bus, next door from the train station and 50m away from the ferry terminal, the location couldn't be better! There weren't a lot of people when I stayed and instead of cramming everyone in a single dorm, they let each guest have an entire dorm. I appreciated the gesture very much. Moreover they provide towels (not common in NZ unfortunately) and there is breakfast available and included. I highly recommend this place

The room was in good condition, amenities ok and the people running the accommodation very friendly and easy to talk to. Unfortunately it wasn't very peaceful due to train and port noise also throughout the night and made it hard to sleep.

I needed a place to stay for a couple of hours and this location was perfect. The Intercity bus stop oblique opposite the hostel and the ferry terminal is next door. I booked the same day and the turn around response was exceptional and the self check in directions was easy to follow. The room was clean, the water power was strong and the kitchen was fully stock.
