Clean room, if tired, was nice for 2 nights though I did mention to them that the mattress in our lovely room really needed replacing. The staff were great but clearly shorthanded. On our first night we ate in the bar, but waited an hour for our meals which were ok... The views as shown on the ads are spot on - incredible, and we were very lucky with the weather. With some investment, this place could be really, really lovely, inside as well as out.

fantastic location especially if you get the weather and manage to get outside for evening meal. Room was nice and clean and good size (family room) food was superb and definitely value for money.

Breakfast we didn't have as it was extra so can't comment on that , the views were amazing and we had a room looking out across the moors , the room was pretty bit obviously old and creeky ,massive bathroom with bath and separate shower , the cold tap in the bath didn't seem to work ,no water cold water came through, bed seemed to be on the small side even though was advertised as king size ! Narrow corridors and clunky doors separated the rooms along it and unfortunately inconsiderate noisy guests coming in at 1am chatting and banging doors woke us up , definitely not the hotels fault ( you can't choose your guests ) just unlucky I suppose . But this marred our stay and due to this possibility in future due to the nature of the property I wouldn't choose this one again . Lovely area to explore though .
