This resort was conveniently located just outside of the busiest round about/area of Patong beach. It was wonderful to be able to step out of the entrance to a beautiful view of the ocean. The resort is dated but great effort and work shows that it is being well maintained and cared for. We had a sea view and it was lovely and worth it. The pool was wonderful and during our visit, it was barely busy. The resort gym is very small but enough. There is a spa in the resort but there are so many small massage parlours around the area. The 7/11 is less than a 5 minute walk and if you’re up to avoiding paying for a taxi/grab (which is more expensive around this area) Patong beach is about 30 mins on foot. Add another 10 minutes and you’re at Jungceylon Mall. The resort restaurant was very nice and food was delicious. Room service was exceptional. Buffet breakfast was amazing. If we venture out to Patong again, we will definitely be back!

Our stay at the Sunset Beach Resort was an 11/10. The service of all the staff, the buffet breakfast, the shuttle bus into Patong and most spectacular was the pool. I would revisit the resort again and would highly recommend this resort to stay in to anyone visiting Phuket.
