This is a clean, recently refurbished hotel, with friendly staff. Our rooms had balconies overlooking the beach and sea. A very pleasant view. Will be visiting again I’m sure.

Great view, good hospitality, comfy bed, however No SMART TV, no shops nearby within walking distance, restaurants are at hotels nearby, pricey no convenience stores nearby so everything is travel by car or bike.

The best part of this Hotel is the location, Kamala beach is so beautiful and full of dining options. The service provided by the Hotel staff is excellent and fast, however the hotel facilities need maintenance, it starting to look old and some areas smells like mold.

The hotel is a little further from outside restaurants. It’s not too far but would require some walking. It was very busy when we went so it was hard to get parking. Overall it was a good stay.

The Novotel Kamala has a great beach (Beach #1). Easy to walk to restaurants. Twins restaurant on the beach has an awesome seafood glass noodle salad. Cafe Del Mar has changed. They fenced off the whole operation so no beach access. Only via the front street entry where you’re subject to search and wristbands. No thanks. Instead had dinner one night at Shimmer. It’s part of montezure hotel. Awesome sunset view with dinner. Expensive for Thailand. 4,400 baht for two. Unfortunately, when got back to room, got sick and pucked dinner. 3 weeks in Thailand, never had problems with delicious Thai food. The blue crab yellow curry ended up in the toilet and on the floor.

The hotel location was just what we wanted. It wasn't crowded and we pretty much have the beach to ourselves most days. The bed were comfortable but the pillows were really lumpy. They needed to update those. The pool was in the smaller size but as we were there in the off season, it didnt pose too many issues. The beach being so close made it okay. Some of the lounger needed to be updated as it was sagging and found the bar across was digging into our back, unless you have rolled up a few towels. Staff were really lovely and attentive. Food was lovely most of the time but there days that food was too salty. I ordered Spaghetti and Pad Krapao and they were very salty. I loved the sticky rice and mango and my kids loved the club sandwich. I wish the menu hada bit more options for Thai food. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options but only offered full cream milk for coffee. If you are lactose intolerant, you will need to provide your own milk. Overall, I was happy with the hotel and staff. I would go back again for sure.

The place was lovely, the view of the ocean is beautiful and the pool was well kept. Breakfast was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it was convenient to walk down the beach to the boardwalk but also away from any major partying I'm not into. I would go back

Schönes Hotel mit super Infinitypool und Jacuzzi am tollen Strand, netten Service und kostenlosen Eiswürfelbeutel. Kleinere Eisbeutel wäre besser, der Beutel ist für 2 Personen viel zu groß. Schade, dass die Gegend sehr wenig belebt ist. Wer also Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig. Vor dem Hotel ist nichts los, am besten am Strand entlang schlendern, dann findet man in wenigen Metern einen Club, Restaurants und in ca. 1 km eine kleine Shoppingmeile im Ort mit Geschäften, Lokalen, Massagesalons usw... Der Kamala Markt von Einheimischen mit Obst, Speisen (Streetfood ohne Restaurant), Taschen, Schuhen uvm. ist abends echt toll und günstig. Der Markt ist nur am Montag, Donnerstag und Freitag. Mit dem Taxi ist man aber in ca. 15-20 Minuten in Patong. In Patong gibt es sehr viele Geschäfte und Touristen, ist aber mega überlaufen und uns persönlich viel zu laut und stressig. Wir haben 1 Woche dort genossen und waren danach noch knapp 2 Wochen in Khao Lak. Z.B.ist Obst in Kamala viel günstiger wie in Khao Lak, in Khao Lak kostet 1 kg Mangosteen auf den Biang Nang Markt das 3-Fache.

Noisy Guests

Nice hotel and staff overall but many of the hotel guests don't show any respect to anyone so that was very annoying. The go up early and put their beach towels on the sunbeds and then go back to sleep thinking this is ok. A lot of slamming in doors and pretty noisy in between the rooms.

Run-down hotel with need of serious upgrade

Hotel in poor condition and very rundown. Needs serious maintenance, refurbishment and upgrade. Old pictures on homepage and we had an Ocean view suite, but it do not deserve the “suite” Poor service at check in. Delayed more than 3 hours and did not get the keys before 17.00 after several promises. Daily cleaning poor and very late between 16.30-17.15. Besides the great view from the room and pool and location not worth staying at the hotel. Not 4 star but max 3 star.

Prachtige locatie aan het strand. Enige was wel dat ze onderhoud hadden aan de natuur om de het hotel heen. Ze gingen de bomen snoeien waardoor je gedeelte van het zwembad niet kon gebruiken en ook alles waaide naar het kant van het zwembad. Ook tijden het dineren werd er geboord en van alles qua onderhoud gedaan.
