Overall check in process was very smooth, and the room itself was clean and modern. The coffee maker was broken, and the apartment building (outside of the room) smelled like cat pee. Minimal amenities but overall a good place to stay not far from center city.

The location of the property was great. Check in and check out was seamless. The codes worked and things were operating. Fortunately, when I got inside the room TV channels were not working. It was a Roku situation and the app was updating. Was watching TV and then it turns off and it starts updating again. It was an issue. Besides that, the floor was a little Dusty. There was some hair. All the experience is great

The location was great for my needs, it's noisy, but it's a city, so that should be expected. I was bummed there were no ear plugs as advertised, but I was able to pick some up for the second night. The room was clean and very basic, but what I expected. The bedding was put on incorrectly, which was odd, but easily fixed.

The room was definitely clean, however both nights we had trouble with the code on the door to get into out room. Although we were able to resolve the problem reasonably fast it was frustrating. The second night we did not understand why the code was changed. I had to settle for a luke warm showers both days. The rooms were expensive, certainly not the greatest of value.

Getting in was a little confusing. They give you the building code and the unit code but then they have step-by-step instructions and when it’s supposed to show the building code, do they show the unit code. So I got confused. Beyond that though the room is big and expensive and feels very comfortable. It’s also got a pizza place downstairs which my kids loved to get food from. And it was a great bar to relax at the end of the day.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the location was perfect for what we needed. The lack of parking was tedious but we expected that so it wasn’t that big of a deal. That’s just how South Philly is. The check-in process is where we ran into trouble. Since there is no front desk, we had to call ourselves when I didn’t get my check in information on time. And it was an easy fix, but the lack of communication meant we were waiting outside for an hour before we were finally able to check in. Once we were in everything was great, but I definitely think the communication could be better.

Pros: Room is a good size and location for the rate. Plenty of food and drink options steps away from the hotel. Highly recommend both tattooed mom and momoka for lunch and dinner. Both are 1-2mins walk away. Room was clean and came with bottled water and a small snack. A little bit of street noise but they provide a white noise machine and ear plugs. Cons: Check in was complicated. You have to check in online and upload pictures of your id ahead of time. There is no front desk to talk to. The number locks are finicky and my code didn't work. All nearby steet parking is 2 hours max so plan to find a garage. No hot water when I tried to shower at night. Was told to try again in 30 mins because the hot water ran out and still no luck. I had to wipe myself down with hot water from the coffee maker which was ridiculous.

Didn't receive the pre-check until after our designated check-in time which caused a delay since my identification needed to be verifed remotely. Once we were processed the room code to our room didn't work and I had to call the SoSuite "concierge" to trouble shoot several different codes. We were able to get into our room about 30 min after our check-in time. The room was clean and the hotel is in a great location however our room was on the same side as the main entrance (street side). That only became an issue because the door SLAMS closed everytime someone leaves/enters the building and you can hear and feel it rattle--we were on the 3rd floor! the hotel is near a lively street which is great until you hear guests going through the door all hours of the night, so it disrupted our sleep. This may not be an issue if your room is on the otherside of the building--so be sure to check. I have stayed at other SoSuite locations and had a lovely experience but this stay let us down.

A little noise from the restaurant on street level, but great location on South Street if you're going to spend time here or in the surrounding neighborhood. I was taken back by the fact that they questioned me as to why I was renting the room, like I was going to have a party. I'm almost 50, not in my 20's. Otherwise I would probably stay again, and at just over $100 a night. It was a good deal.
