Pros: Room is a good size and location for the rate. Plenty of food and drink options steps away from the hotel. Highly recommend both tattooed mom and momoka for lunch and dinner. Both are 1-2mins walk away. Room was clean and came with bottled water and a small snack. A little bit of street noise but they provide a white noise machine and ear plugs. Cons: Check in was complicated. You have to check in online and upload pictures of your id ahead of time. There is no front desk to talk to. The number locks are finicky and my code didn't work. All nearby steet parking is 2 hours max so plan to find a garage. No hot water when I tried to shower at night. Was told to try again in 30 mins because the hot water ran out and still no luck. I had to wipe myself down with hot water from the coffee maker which was ridiculous.

Didn't receive the pre-check until after our designated check-in time which caused a delay since my identification needed to be verifed remotely. Once we were processed the room code to our room didn't work and I had to call the SoSuite "concierge" to trouble shoot several different codes. We were able to get into our room about 30 min after our check-in time. The room was clean and the hotel is in a great location however our room was on the same side as the main entrance (street side). That only became an issue because the door SLAMS closed everytime someone leaves/enters the building and you can hear and feel it rattle--we were on the 3rd floor! the hotel is near a lively street which is great until you hear guests going through the door all hours of the night, so it disrupted our sleep. This may not be an issue if your room is on the otherside of the building--so be sure to check. I have stayed at other SoSuite locations and had a lovely experience but this stay let us down.

Getting in was a little confusing. They give you the building code and the unit code but then they have step-by-step instructions and when it’s supposed to show the building code, do they show the unit code. So I got confused. Beyond that though the room is big and expensive and feels very comfortable. It’s also got a pizza place downstairs which my kids loved to get food from. And it was a great bar to relax at the end of the day.

Check-in was difficult, but manageable. Room was clean and well enough appointed, and sizeable. The reason for the low score is this company requires customers to either pay a fee (non refundable) OR a larger security deposit, which hurts people who can't afford to carry the security deposit charge for a few days. It's a blatant hidden fee designed to take advantage of less well off people. I will not be doing business with them again.

The hot water takes 15 minutes to get warm. The heating system didn’t work and I didn’t find out until later during the night that none of the plugs in the room work except in the bathroom, the TV the mini fridge the lamps none of it worked I was given a space heater that I plugged in while I took a shower, but later when I tried to plug the space heater in in the bedroom area, it would not work. Would you let me to become an electrical inspector and find out that nothing worked none of the plugs not one. Maintenance was very helpful. He came immediately explained the water situation and gave me the heater earlier when I first checked in I don’t think it was nothing that he could do about the electrical because I feel as though whatever happened no one mentioned it. And now that I think about it when my friend first got to the room before we left to go out, she actually checked the refrigerator and said it was hot, and she looked to see that it was all the way turned up and figured that maybe they had the fridge unplugged while there was no guest in the room. I don’t know but when I got back, that’s when I figured like wait a minute something is wrong.
