Basic hotel and would benefit of an upgrade, that said the hotel is being done bit by bit, food was excellent, sirloin steak was delicious, room was clean and comfy bed, staff were ever so helpful. Would come back again.

Staff are exceptional service was great the hotel is a little tired but rooms were clean and adequate. Roseline was excellent on reception. The bar being open later for guest is great. The breakfast was good and the location perfect for visiting Perth and Scone Palace is a must visit. Cannot Thank the staff enough. Would stay again.

Mostly a good stay. Hotel is a little tired but very clean. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. However, the breakfast was very poor, which was disappointing considering how good the dinner was.

Weekend break

Although abit dated, the hotel was clean and staff were great. The dinner at night was excellant, we had the best steak and meals were great. The only down size was the breakfast im afraid, mainly as the cooked breakfast was bought to you as soon as you went in and you were eating cereals and was cold. Not much choice.

Room a little cramped. Older building so no surprise that the floor had a slight slope. Staff excellent and very receptive, positive when I mentioned a couple of small niggles. (I'm 68). No cooked breakfast but continental great.

The room was basic and in a separate adjoining building, but plenty of space. There was no lift to the room. Space for clothes and an iron/ironng board were provided. A kettle and instant coffee, but no tea bags (unusual for UK). The bathroom was clean and soap/shampoo were provided.

Amazing place to stay

Amazing little hotel and super friendly staff I’ve stayed at this hotel maybe 8 times and I keep coming back for the good service and good location. The rooms all are unique and have character which is more than you can say for 99% of hotels these days

Booked in at the last minute, staff were friendly and helpful. Great to get free breakfast! Hotel and decor is a little old and tired but clean. We enjoyed our stay and especially the bath in our ensuite!

This hotel is horribly run down and in need of major refurb. The room took a good 2 hours to reach anything approaching a reasonable temperature. The bath would have taken overnight to fill and with water that was a choice between freezing and skin blistering. It was a real challenge to get wet with the pathetic shower. Don’t be sucked in by the breakfast included trick, it wasn’t worth getting up for instant coffee and awful quality ham and cheese. Just remember this hotel is cheap for a reason - or many reasons. The staff were lovely though!

Nice enough hotel room with a comfortable, clean bed and clean, albeit dated, bathroom. One thing to note is that the walls are very thin between the rooms and corridors. We could hear everything from full conversations and cups of tea being made, to snoring and everything else… Lots of cobwebs up high around the ceiling and curtain pelmet too.

Despite reading some poor reviews, we had a recently painted room (233) in the annexe bit. There was a generous supply of tea, coffee etc and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The entrance doors desperately need some new paint as it gives a poor first impression; the furniture and furnishings in the main hotel are dated, but it is only a 3 * hotel ! All staff we met were friendly, helpful and professional. There was good, well lit parking. Our room, towels and bedlinen were all clean. It would have been lovely to have had at least filter coffee at breakfast. Thank you

Great stay

Stayed here before but things have improved Breakfast is now full breakfast and food is replaced quickly when food runs out. Had an evening meal which was delicious. Staff were very helpful with buses into town. Given option to have room cleaned daily or when required.

A Bit Dated

The property could do with some rejuvenating but the service and evening meal made up for this by far. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is a ‘steak house’, affordable and cooked to perfection. We had one veggie in our party and she was catered for easily. Our group was three, the room was huge.
