Hotel is a pub. Rooms very clean & excellent. Atmosphere brilliant. Bar area great for meeting people. food great as well. Cant comment ref breakfast as it wasnt offered ??
The Crown was ideally suited for us to visit relatives and the Minack theatre.
The room was spotless, comfortable and quiet.
Our host was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast too.
Would recommend this pub so much
Location excellent
Room lovely just like the photo
Beautiful breakfast and lovely land lord Connor, nothing was to much trouble always going the extra mile
Will definitely stay there again
Lovely little pub. Very welcoming, staff brilliant and couldnt do enough for you. Clean and comfortable room with everything you need - we were there for 3 nights. Good breakfast and we had 1 evening meal which was also good. Good location for easy access to St Michaels Mount, Marazion, Penzance, Lands End to nane a few.
The room was very clean and comfortable. There is some road noise, but overnight it's pretty quiet. There are thoughtful touches such as milk and water in the fridge. There are also earplugs, although we didn't need them. The towels are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are also very welcoming too.
I only stayed for one night, the room was clean and tidy, a good selection of tea , coffee etc, bottled water in the fridge along with fresh milk.
A very good fan was provided too , which was very welcome as it was one of the hottest days of the year.
Check- in easy.
Connor and the staff are fantastic! The Inn is 5 miles from Penzance, so getting to and from Penzance is limited- about a $20 taxi to the train station. The room is wonderful and updated. There is no AC, but a fan is provided. Overall a great stay, definitely recommend.
Super friendly service from all the team.
Very good choice of breakfasts and bedroom was big and decorated very well.
Shower was just adequate.
Found a space right outside and was even asked if I need help with our bags by the staff outside.
Definitely stay again. Thank you.
Excellent customer service by helping us with luggage to our room and waiting on payment until we were settled in. We were able to order food from their restaurant and they delivered it to our room. The bed is super comfy and the room has all the amenities we need. The only issue is parking but we lucked out and someone left while we were looking for a space.
Lovely location fantastic room
Unfortunately kitchen was closed due to staff shortages however i was called in advance to let me know this and they were up and running again the next morning for breakfast
All the staff were so friendly especially Alexandria Alex for short she couldn’t do enough for you she is such a hard worker. The bathroom was spotless the room very modern had all the TV channels inc Netflix. The nearest station is Penzance then a bus from stand E bus number U4 20 min £2.00 per person. Taxi £17.00. Taxi to St Ives £25-35.00 great food and on a Sunday roast is very popular with the locals. I would like Fish and chips to be permanently on the menu as most tourist look forward to it on holiday.
Great stay for a variety of reasons.
Appreciated the call during the day before I checked in, asking me if I wanted to book for dinner as space was limited. Check-in was friendly and easy - handled by nice chap at the bar. Room was modern, nicely decorated, good amenities, comfortable and clean. If there is a small grumble, it would be that the water pressure in the shower could have been better. But was still fine.
Dinner and breakfast in the pub area was lovely - friendly and quick service and good quality food using local ingredients.
Would recommend, and will stay here again.
Although it was just for one night, we really enjoyed our stay at the Crown Inn. It is located in an old part of Goldsithney, Penzance where old stone buildings flank narrow streets. Parking is on the street, but we had no trouble finding a spot near the Inn. Rooms are located on the second floor, with the pub, dining room and kitchen occupying the first floor. The pub was crowded and full of local flavor when we had a drink before retiring. The staff was working very hard to keep their patrons well supplied with food and drink. Our room was quite nice and although located just above the pub, we were not disturbed by noise from below since the pub closes early when there are guests. The English Breakfast we were served the next day was the best of our trip.
There was a charity event including a disco, which took place at the front of the pub and was in full swing when we arrived soon after 5. We had hoped to have a sit down meal in the pub that evening but the staff member gave us some alternative places outside of the village as there was only food for the event which was meat in wraps. It was extremely noisy as we were facing onto the street and above the event. The disco was still on when we returned and did not end until 11.10 unfortunately the rather noisy guests did not all leave until 1.35 am. We should have been warned prior to our arrival that there was a private function on and given us the option of going elsewhere. As we had paid and it being a Saturday evening at that point we had little option but to stay. The room was lovely and very comfortable. On leaving we were asked how we had slept!!! Need I say more? They did apologise but felt justified that it was a charity event for the chefs father that had sadly passed away with cancer. It would have been polite to have notified us and given us the option of making a choice as to whether we stayed . It may be a one off but they knew they had this event on and they had paying quests arriving and surely would have considered their comfort? The landlord did follow us out and offer us another stay for £80 but I suggested he add that to the charity as we would not be back.
