“Cheap and basic-really friendly receptionist decent tea and coffee etc- just a bit dated but at price we paid I was happy enough - clean sheets and towels and quiet”

“Perfect place”

“El propietario Derek es encantador y ayuda en todo lo que necesites. El desayuno es estupendo, te tratan con mucho cariño”

“The room was lovely but the sink in the en-suite was tiny & hard to get a wash or clean your teeth in without getting water everywhere. The front of the sink unit was already water damaged. The shower was good & easy to use. The lady who greeted us was very helpful & friendly especially as we forgot to take our key out with us & had to ask her to let us in to our room. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for her. There was a good choice for breakfast which was cooked to order”

Sadly in need of a makeover.”

“Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in restaurant. Nice Lochside location. Great location for visiting the nearby Dumfries House a short drive away.”

“Good location for the local county fair”

“A great location with Lovely staff:)”

“We always have a great time at the Hopetoun. The rooms are spacious, cosy and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is always amazing! We look forward to going back - highly recommended!”
