A great little place. I’d enjoyed a stay here one time before—on a Monday night. This time it was a Wednesday so The Laurel was open! I checked in at 7:45 so only 15 minutes before closing. I walked down the stairs, they gave me a table, I had a fantastic cocktail and very very tasty steak bites with nice accompaniment. They made sure I got a shot at a second drink before closing as well. The rooms are delightfully furnished and the bathrooms are a standout feature. As they mention on premises, this place is 100 years old and has the same radiator system as built with. As it got going around 10 pm, it made some laugh out loud banging noises worthy of a movie scene. But that was the only time I heard anything from it. And the room temp was very comfortable. The bed. The bed in #3 gave me the best night sleep I’d had in a couple of weeks. Slept right through my 7 AM call. Highly recommended. 10/10.

The Landing was perfect for our quick weekend in La Grande. The hotel staff was amazing, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Checking in and checking out was fast and easy. This was a really cool building that has been renovated and historically preserved. They thought of so many little details to make folks comfy. Our room was spacious and clean. We loved the decor. It’s a really old building so floors creak. Although there was no breakfast there is a cute coffee / breakfast place right across the street.
