  • Selina Hostels at Playa Venao The hostel is new and not finished yet, but it has a great design, is located directly at the beach and the staff is really cool. A con is that there is only one shop which has basically nothing and is really expensive; so you either have to bring your food or eat at the bar in the hostel. The beach itself is good for surfers, but you can also enjoy the waves without a board. There are only two (or maybe three; nobody knows) buses from Pedasí to Playa Venao: once in the morning (I think at 7) and once at 12 o'clock. It takes around 1.5 hours. Keep your eyes open and when you see the sign of the hostel, shout "(la) parada, por favor"

It was secured and parking was easy. Didn’t like that it's rooms were not updated. Furniture looked old. My bed was squeaky and not confortable. Bathroom was terrible, needed repairs. Sink was kind of broken and also the cup holder and where you put your toothbrushes.

Love the pool we was able to cook a fish that we caught and breakfast was nice. The bed has the spring broke and the mattress sink. Bed sheets keep coming out

Excelente hotel, full recomendado.

El lugar es muy bueno, la relacion precio calidad es muy excelente. Los desayunos son muy sabrosos, completos y variados. Poseen muy buena area de estacionamiento y la seguridad es 24/7, el hotel se ubica a la entrada de Pedasí, frente a la policia. La piscina es acogedora con profundidades que van de 1.0 a 2.0 mts, posee jacuzzi. Lo unico que deben aclarar en sus paginas que habitaciones poseen TV cable y cuales no, eso es todo. El personal es muy atento y servicial.

If you have time To search don’t stay in this place . They offer breakfast but the kitchen is disgusting. I wish I took a picture to show everyone. The leave the bread on the top of kitchen counter so dirty I don’t thinks it’s been clean for a while . The have 2 coffee maker that doesn’t work and no coffee

Probably better in high season

Not to blame the hotel but Pedasí doesn’t provide much in restaurants which is kinda expected when the hotel only serves breakfast. The breakfast was well made and large, the pool clean, the beds fairly comfy. The closest beach was only a few minutes drive, and deserted to our benefit. Would recommend the hotel to offer bike rentals and offer it’s staff an English course to simplify communication.

Real relaxing hotel with a pool and a good breakfast. At the end of town but everything in town is still an easy walk. Great but gave it two hits in service. One because they weren't forthcoming about their snorkeling trips (better booked at Selina's) and the other because the Saturday night revelry around the pool went on until six a.m.

Las habitaciones, si bien son comodas, la disponibilidad de articulos como jabon, shampoo, avondicionador son muy limitadas, el personal es limitado, el que esta en recepcion tambien nos atendio en el restaurante, pero en general, precio beneficio, esta bien. The Sports Club has a great location walkable to the town and on the way to Playa Arenal. We arrived and our room had no hot water, the mattress was like laying on a box spring, and the sheet was seethrough and too small for the bed. It was after dinner when we got back and found this out and there was no front desk staff so we had to spend the night. Showered in the cold and woke up multiple times through the night to put the sheet back on. In the morning, we requested another room. They put us in the one across the hall, no hot water. Then they put us in an apartment downstairs after checking it out, that one had no hot water and the shower handle for hot water wasn’t even attached. We finally moved to our fourth room that was fine. Initially they told us there were no extra rooms available because they were fully booked but when checked online Expedia showed additional rooms available. No real apologies or anything For the money, there are way better hotels in the area.

La estadia en general fue buena. El wifi no llegaba a la habitación en donde estabamos, es el lugar mas cercano para hospedarse a la playa el arenal.

Struttura mal tenuta

Prenotato camera per 2 adulti e un bambino, ma all'arrivo mancava un letto, per averlo hanno chiesto un costo extra. La camera doveva essere completa di cucina e tutto il necessario per cucinare, ma non era presente praticamente nulla, neanche le posate....la cucina a gas era rotta. Nella camera non erano nemmeno presenti le sedie per poter consumare i pasti! Tutto era sporco e vecchio, l'abitazione odora di muffa in ogni stanza, l'aria condizionata è solo in camera quindi nel resto dell'abitazione si patisce il caldo!!!! La piscina è piccola e oramai cade a pezzi, il personale non vigila sugli ospiti che gozzovigliano tra fiumi di birra e alcolici a bordo e dentro la piscina!
