Vacations Close To Wilderness at the Smokies

This property is a damp. I don’t know who gave this property. 8.8 score. This score is fake. I had never stayed at such a dirty run down property. Room was infested by some small flies , all over the room and bathroom life and dead. Walls smeared with dirt . Just dirt all over. I end up sleeping in my clothes covered by my own jacket. The clue for should have been during registration process statement: If you leave early there is not refund. Why would anyone who booked and came to check in suddenly leave ? I guess they know the property condition. And they called me to let me know room is clean and ready early. That room was not clean in years. Wi Fi is practically nonexistent. Walls are so thin I heard every word of conversation and activities happening in room next to me. Breakfast is beyond basic , coffee looks and taste like look warm brown water AND it starts at 8 am when they know people leave early for park activities. They do it to have less people eating it. Parking is $5 and they are far away from busy main town areas and there is no shortage of parking spaces. Making $ every possible way. Shame on Expedia giving this property such a high score and luring trusty customers to book this place.

While the property itself was decent, the overall experience was incredibly frustrating. My villa was located right next to a timeshare showroom, meaning I had to endure the constant slamming of doors from tours all day. To make matters worse, I had no hot water overnight and through half of the next day. When I requested a room change, the front desk claimed the resort was completely booked. However, while standing at the desk, I checked their website and found five identical rooms available for booking. Only after pointing this out—and waiting another hour for a callback—was I finally moved. For the premium price charged here, the lack of basic amenities, poor customer service, and zero compensation for these major inconveniences are completely unacceptable. Someone should be making this right.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ashridge at Smith Creek Resort exceeded every expectation! If you’re looking for an upscale getaway in the Smoky Mountains, this is it. The resort truly has everything you could want. The pool and lazy river are absolutely incredible and create the perfect place to relax, while the cabins are beautifully designed, luxurious, spacious, and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. One of the best parts is the location. You’re only about 6 minutes from grocery stores and everyday essentials, and within 10 minutes of restaurants, dinner shows, shopping, Dollywood, and plenty of places to pick up souvenirs. Even downtown Gatlinburg is only about a 23-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy everything the Smoky Mountains have to offer without staying in the middle of the crowds. What impressed me most was how versatile this resort is. During our stay, we saw family reunions, bachelorette parties, church groups, couples, and families with children all enjoying themselves. There truly is something for everyone. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, a family vacation, or a large group gathering, Ashridge at Smith Creek Resort is the perfect destination. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!
