Vacations Close To Bacalar Chico National Park & Marine Reserve

Peaceful and secluded location outside San Pedro. If you are a self sufficient traveler and prefer to stay away from the city and lots of people this is the best place! The staff are outstanding, so kind and helpful. Don't let the distance from San Pedro discourage you. Rent a golf cart and embrace living like a local to drive the bumpy dirt road to/from the resort. My partner and I plan our vacations around locations we can access good shore/beach fishing from and this place is perfect for that. We would absolutely come back!

If you are looking for the big box hotels this is not the place for you..Bella Vista is quaint, relaxing, personable..nature at its best..beautiful family friendly resort..I enjoyed staying here for our anniversary..They even set up a private romantic dinner for us on our anniversary..we were super excited and surprised..I will not stay anywhere else on Ambergris caye i San Pedro..this is it ..I fell in love with all the staff..especially Linda our morning crew at breakfast and lunch..We will be back soon Bella Vista.

If you are looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place! Transportation to and from the airport was convenient and easy to arrange. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and cool towel. :) Duane (bartender) took great care of us every day! Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there and the sargassum was in full effect (GAG). The room was great and the bed was comfortable.
