Vacations Close To Palmetto State Park

The guy we checked in with was very helpful and did what he could to fix the issues…I needed an accessible room for my dad he is in a wheelchair chair and can’t walk at all and he switched it but we got down the hall the room was dirty. Dirty towels on bed chair and in bathroom. The sheets were dirty as was the bathroom. Then he moved us to a regular room the ac cover was off and laying on floor the bed sheets on one bed were dirty the toilet had hair and pee on it. Got late checkout (12) and the lady came banging on the door (1130) yelling at me saying ‘you know check out is today’ I told her yes & I got a late checkout as I talked to man early that mrg. Then I went downstairs to get luggage cart and she yelled at me again ‘are u checking out yet’ it was still 1150 I told her no and asked for a mgr and she kept giving me the run around. She was Indian or something all I know is I will never go there again.

We had high expectations as this hotel had a higher rating and had supposedly been renovated in 2024. Our room certainly was not well renovated. Musty smelling pillows, slightly cooling refrigerator, bedroom TV intermittent, luke warm water, room safe broken, missing knobs on dresser, sofa table heavily scratched, and maid service only upon request. The gym had several broken pieces of equipment, broken ice machine on our floor, intermittent elevator. We ordered a corner room suite and paid over $1000 for three nights. We will not stay here again. BTW, this is our first negative review ever.

Beautiful Hotel, very well maintained, wonderful music

Great stay. Only complaint I could have would be the valet parking being that there was only one person working. They are not working 24 seven so when I got back from dinner about 9 PM I had to park my own vehicle at the hotel behind the Maverick. Just note this is a very busy area and Friday and Saturday nights. the streets are pretty ridiculous earlier that afternoon, I did have a small issue. There was a guy, I’m assuming he was homeless downstairs, beating mongrels and I could hear it from my room on the ninth floor.

On my first day as soon as I checked in a dog was continuously barking to the point I had to report it. Same day at 3:00AM a fire alarm was blaring asking everyone to evacuate the hotel. I was on the ninth floor! When we got to the third floor the stairs were blocked and no instructions as to how to proceed, so we had to reenter the floor and use another exit. All that to be told it was a false alarm. The lack of security and safety was non existent. My room had a connecting door and the noise from kids left me sleepless another night. I do not recommend this hotel, besides that the valet parking is $69.00 per day. Hotel didn’t even comp a drink for the fire alarm chaos.

This is the second time staying. it’s just an amazing hotel staff. The swimming pool for the kids. If traveling with family is just incredible. Breakfast is amazing and if you don’t wanna have breakfast there, they also have Cracker Barrel on one side and Jim’s restaurant on the other side A gas station around the corner. There’s so many things that are so close and convenient to this hotel. Great location.

Está muy bueno
