The room was clean and comfortable, however very basic. No frills. We did enjoy the extra space. The floor above was squeaky so when other guests were awake, it was difficult to sleep.
I would recommend the Oakhurst Inn's convenience to the University of VA. With accommodations so tight in Charlottesville, the Oakhurst provides a better stay for the price than many of the other hotels.

I had a very enjoyable stay. Love the property. The room was small, but clean. Parking was easy.
My only suggestion is to move the check in time to 3pm from 4pm and move back the check out time from 10am to 11am. Also, it would be helpful to know the $26 resort fee up front, not at check in.

We liked everything about this property: it's a 10 min drive to UVA, near lots of shopping (some even within walking distance), the rooms are large, beds are comfortable, free parking and breakfast and even on-site laundry. We will definitely stay here again!
