We arrived on the 20th of June 2023. Met the receptionist, who was the ONLY POSITIVE POINT in the hotel (very helpful, informative, went for an extra mile, top staff- member). He allocated a ground floor room -017- which upon entering immediately smelled like someone still smoking in the room! Reported back to receptionist who kindly gave a first floor room -112- , which smelled like noone opened its doors windows for ages, so I asked for an air freshener, which the receptionist kindly gave us. I sprayed that air freshener into the air at the room. Before sleep I went to the reception again asked if I can get ice. There was a different receptionist, whom asked me while laughing that " you are in France and don't speak French? Hahaha?!". I find it very rude and offensive and replied " why would I ? I'm a tourist!!!" ! Two hours later we went asleep Next morning I woken up to the crying of my wife, she got an allergic reaction of the air freshener chemical. Her face swollen up like a balloon and had difficulty for breathing. We went to the hospital, admitted to a&e where she got a very strong antihistamine. We spent an entire day in the a&e! Hospital confirmed the possible cause of allergic reactions is the air freshener chemical. When we went back to the hotel and told the receptionist we are not staying a minute more, we will depart the hotel immediately! The hotel ruined our stay in France completely. Not recommended the hotel to noone!!!!

Losing trust in Hotels.ca!!!

The property was absolute rundown and the rooms did not have any soap, the sink was broken, no toilet paper holder. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet door could not be closed. The room was too small and dirty. It was the absolute worst place we have ever stayed at and the question is how Hotels.ca has listed this property??!!! Does this platform have any minimum standard for their listed properties?

́nôtre séjour s'est bien déroulé avec du personnel très agréable, J'ai pas pris dès photos nous venions pour un décès et nous allons revenir le 13 Avril prochain, quelques jours, pour revenir ensuite vers juillet, Ce qui est essentiel, les personnes à l'accueil, Vraiment, gentils. Ce qui rend un séjour plus supportable avec un décès dans la famille. Merci pour eux. Muguette agosta.

Tout s'est bien passée, personnelles très agréables, nous allons revenir en Avril, j'avais annulé celui du 8 Mars, 2 chambres,pour le 8 mars,svp,,malheureusement la personne à eu un contre-temps. Je vous demande de créditer les 2 chambres pour le 13 avril svp Nous sommes là pour un décès dans la famille, Dû a3 Avril au 17 Avril, j'espère y avoir droit svp J'avais annulé de suite. El hotel no tiene ascensor, tiene dos plantas y nos dieron en la segunda planta la habitación. La habitación es pequeña, antigua y sucia. El aire acondicionado hace mucho ruido y apenas enfría, además de no poder descansar hacía mucho calor en la habitación, el baño es pequeño sin ventilación y se acumulaba toda la humedad

This is the worst hotel that I got in years. This hotel was used to get people on the Covid 19 and still have homeless living there. Some rooms are used like a deposit of garbage. I want to complain against Expedia to don't verify the real conditions for the hotels.
