Le Patio Bastille is a wonderful hotel for many reasons. Its location is fantastic - so near tons of restaurants, the metro, and Place de la Nation. The hotel itself has spacious, clean, air conditioned rooms (ours had a queen bed in one area, and a bunkbed in a separate area, so lots of room to sleep) and offers a great buffet breakfast. It also has two beautiful courtyards that feel like secret gardens. Finally, the staff is incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. We can't say enough about our stay at this hotel and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris. Heads-up to families with kids: This is a great choice because of the room layouts and bed options available, as well as because of the breakfast.

Located within an easy walk of several metro stations, this was a great place for us to stay during a few nights in Paris. We were there during the heat wave so the air-conditioning was a nice break in the middle of the day for us if that’s something that is important to you. Staff was helpful. The room was clean, the staff were excellent, the patio gardens were lovely! Close to bus stops and metro stops that can take us to all the must-see spots in Paris for us! Also, a very nice neighbourhood with restaurants and a bakery, we never got hungry. The bathroom could use some work (pipes and wall holes are visible and I'm not sure if there was proper ventilation - didn't see an exhaust fan) but it is functional. No terrace, but we were at the top floor and it was nice and quiet. We got back to the hotel quite late at night for most of our 3 nights stay, and we appreciated the peace (street noise was far, not inexistent) after a fun but tiring day. There was a mini kitchen with cutlery, dishes, an electric kettle with a very good selection of complementary coffee and tea, and a microwave (which a staff member helped me use). Overall, we had an amazing time in Paris thanks to Le Patio Bastille!
