The room was clean and tidy but very small, the towels were changed every day which was nice. The hotel had a winding stairway and we were on the 5 th floor we were offer a change but it was too much hassle so we stayed were we were. Unfortunately the hotel we having a problem with hot water and the weather was very hot so we had cold shower 3 of the mornings we were there. It was more of w backpackers place then two over 70’s The are around it was very nice with lots of cafes and bars to eat. Access to the highlites of Paris was very good with a number of bus routes or 2 metro lines in asywalk of the hotel.

AVOID!! No hot water for 7 days-months. Multiple complaints on multiple booking sites. Staff made no effort to change this concern. Black mold bathroom, stained pillows and bed, fixtures and bookcase unstable and falling, doors and beds creak loud, water stains on ceiling, floor and doors, no AC in family room, door keys worked card worked 3x in 4 days, on very loud street, most things deteriorated. Hostel website pictures are from 2014 and are not even close to reality. Staff had no concern about guests complaining about no hot water. Breakfast is packaged. Report to Paris health and safety authorities as this hostel does not meet health standards. Sad as this property could have so much potential near Sacre Coure.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. When I was not happy with the original room they put us in (not what I had booked online with a photo of the room), they immediately put me in the proper room which was spacious for 4 people. It was conveniently located in Montmartre which was perfect for Bakeries, restaurants, and view points. I enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at the end of May when Paris was hotter than the seasonal average. The room was a family room with private bathroom, all very clean. We had a double bed and two singles in a separate area. The room was comfortable and I felt good value. Breakfast was included - basic but again, good value. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. The only problem was that it was unseasonably hot and although there was an air on unit in the room, it wasn’t working. To be fair, I wasn’t really expecting air con and if it hadn’t been over 30 degrees it would have been fine. Overall it was basic and a little tired, but good value and ultimately I felt like we got what we paid for.

The information stated there was air conditioning, there was only ventilator fans which in the Paris heat wave made the room almost unbearable. You are not able to use the kitchen to cook, which kind of defeats the purpose of a hostel. Staff were matter of fact and would answer questions but did not go above and beyond. The rooms were not very well cleaned especially the bathroom which smelt like urine on arrival. The shower had no hot water the first couple of days, luckily we only needed cold because it was so hot. We understand it is a hostel and you pay for what you get but a bit more attention to cleaning and some simple amenities would make this place so much better. The location was superb. Right in the middle of Montmarte, quiet enough but close to lots. Such a vibrant area and always something going on. We loved the area and having the accommodation there was awesome.

Stayed three nights at the end of a family tour through Northern Europe. A decent, basic place to stay at the base of Montmartre and near two metro stations. Bedroom was spacious and clean. No enclosure for shower meant water went absolutely everywhere and there was evidence of water damage and potential mould in bathroom.

Wonderful atea safe and very good to eat cheaply. Hostel is very basic but clean and accurate. Close to metro. Easy walk to guard de Nord. We were there for Olympics do extremely handy for stade fe France. We paid well over it's worth but it was the Olympics.

Comfortable nights stay

The room was huge, with two double beds, and a big bathroom with walk in shower. We were very comfortable, but the air conditioning wouldn't turn on so the room was a little hot. Also, storage was in the form of small lockers that needed coins to use - we didn't need them because we stayed just one night, but if we had stayed longer storage would have been good.

Great, charming spot to stay! Not quite in Mortmarte neighbourhood, but very easy/quick walk will bring you there- and you have views of the Sacre Cour from your window! Clean and bright. Loved that there was (paid) laundry to get us caught up. Take note there is no lift so you’ll be climbing multiple flights of stairs to your room, but we thought that was just part of the Parisian charm.

Great location, hotel needs work

Conveniently located, but place needs a bit of attention. Pictures are definitely from a while ago as place would need some cleaning and repairs which if photos were more recent would be evident (bathroom walls had ++ mold, handrail in stairwell is broken off the wall between first and second floor, pain chipped in many places). Also there is limited air circulation (when we arrived our room was ++ musty / damp, no air fan in bathroom, could not get heater / air conditionner to work, so aired out the room via the windows which helped significantly, but still far from ideal).

This hostel/hotel was located in a great neighborhood, walkable to many restaurants and shops and to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (15 minutes and a lot of stairs though!). The lodging itself was a good value for the price but things were rather worn in our room, the mattress was quite uncomfortable, and there were mold and ants in the bathroom. There are stairs to the rooms. We were only there to sleep so if I could get a more comfortable mattress, I’d stay here again. Sheets and bedding were clean. Breakfast was not a good value. We were able to compile a delicious breakfast for three from local bakeries and supermarkets for less than the cost of breakfast for one at the hostel.

Location was reasonable. Room is tiny, don’t bring a big suitcase. Shower is on a timer so you have to keep pressing the switch to keep it running, which is annoying. Mold in shower. Stains on pillows. There’s no elevator so if you have heavy luggage or get a room on an upper floor it’s tough. Towel and AC aren’t great. Would stay elsewhere for the cost. Breakfast not worth it. Bread, cheese, jam, juice, and terrible coffee. Go get real breakfast elsewhere. Towels and housekeeping not available daily.
