Great hotel! Lovely neighborhood with nearby restaurants, boulangeries, bars, pharmacy and public transportation. Staff was very helpful and friendly (hola, Jimmy!). Yes- it was noisy one night due to the bars downstairs- but nothing unbearable. Great spot to stay in!

Hotel Daval is excellently priced for the convenience and location. It's a bit cozy, and the elevator is basically for one person at a time. The simple breakfast buffet is worth it, and the location, in a lively neighborhood near transportation and numerous restaurants and eateries, is fantastic.

Our stay was very good and the room was clean. There was a very tiny elevator for luggage. The only real complaint is that we were there in the summer and the air-conditioning was capped very high temp. When we woke up in the morning and opened a window. It was actually cooler outside than in the room with the air-conditioning running.

Nice to have a room with AC. Bed was ok but the pillows were not comfortable at all. Had to leave your key with the front desk which in my many years of traveling, I never had to do that before. Front desk staff were friendly. Sometimes our door wouldn't lock, and we had an occasion the elevator didn't work so we had to haul our luggage down the stairs.

A decent hotel at a decent price. Location is convenient for two metro stations and there are loads of places to eat. The neighbourhood feels safe. The hotel staff are lovely and the receptionist speaks English very well. The breakfast is basic but okay value for money. Tiny lift - not a hotel to stay in if you are bringing a huge suitcase. Reasonable sized room with a very comfy bed and excellent pillows. Bathroom is a reasonable size but the shower was small. Curtains shut out most of the light but soundproofing is poor. Overall, although the hotel is not amazing, it is good value and i would be happy to stay in it again.
