On the negative side, the bathroom could have been cleaner and in better condition, the walls and windows are really thin so you hear your neighbors talking at a normal volume (and the people in the building across the street had a party late into the night with the windows open one night). But on the positive side the room was nice and modern, the bed was comfortable, there was a safe, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's Paris, so just know ahead of time what to expect for bathrooms and street noise, and this will be a nice place to stay that's close to major attractions and a subway+train hub.

The hotel itself is an adorable boutique hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. Its location Couldn’t be better! In the middle of things but in a quiet location. We would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend the amazing tub in the junior suite if you’re lucky enough to book it!!

For the things I wanted to be close to, Hotel Crayon was the perfect location. I walked to restaurants and shops I really enjoyed. I got a pink-theme roomed that I loved. The colors were lively without being overly energetic. Some of the furnishings could use some care—a panel of mirror was missing from the pretty mirrored desk and the mirror in the bathroom looks like it was glued back together after a mishap. But that didn’t detract from the overall experience. I appreciated being able to open my window to let in fresh air. The hotel is on a busier street so it was easy to hear late-night revelers. Also sounds in the hall are noticeable. Nether of those conditions bothers me. I appreciate a walk-in shower over a shower tub any day and I appreciate that this one wasn’t as cramped as some of the other European hotel counterparts. And the reliable hot water is always enjoyable. Word of caution is that the stairs are narrow. I found my heel catching a few times because the stairs weren’t wide enough while descending the staircase. Because I prefer taking stairs over the elevator I took more care on going down the stairs each time. The hotel staff was lovely. Air conditioning was excellent. I would absolutely return.
