Big spacious room & bathroom. Set back from main street meant could sleep with windows open and no noise could be heard. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. 10 minute walk to Statue of Liberty & a shopping centre. 15/20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.

You want a 5 star hotel, this isn't a fancy crystal chandelier kinda place. What it is full charm and friendly helpful staff. 10 min walk to the Eiffel tower, central to do many fun places.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2/5 Der zweite Stern geht ausschließlich an die gute Lage. Ansonsten fühlte sich L’Enclos Rey für uns weniger wie ein Hotel und mehr wie eine Mischung aus Jugendherberge, Kongresszentrum und einer an eine Seniorenresidenz angeschlossenen Unterkunft an. Tatsächlich frühstückt man gemeinsam mit den Bewohnern der Seniorenresidenz. Das gesamte Gebäude wirkt alt und stellenweise ungepflegt. Überall lange, verwinkelte Flure, Türen mit Zahlencodes statt Zimmerkarten und Wege, bei denen man sich regelmäßig fragt, ob man noch im Hotel oder schon im nächsten Gebäudeteil ist. Unser erstes Zimmer war leider unzumutbar: dunkle Fugen, braune Verfärbungen im Bad und ein extrem starker Geruch nach Reinigungsmittel. Nach einer Beschwerde bekamen wir ein anderes Zimmer – das war allerdings zunächst bereits belegt. Eine Entschuldigung gab es nicht. Das zweite Zimmer war besser, aber auch hier fiel während unseres Aufenthalts Putz von der Badezimmerdecke. Die Duschwand war zu kurz, sodass nach jedem Duschen das Bad unter Wasser stand. Keine Klimaanlage (wofür das Hotel nichts kann), aber bei über 35 °C war Schlaf kaum möglich. Der Ventilator verteilte lediglich die warme Luft. Außerdem ist das Gebäude extrem hellhörig. Positiv waren die bequemen Betten, die ruhige Lage und der kleine Park hinter dem Gebäude. Wer einfach nur eine günstige Unterkunft mitten in Paris sucht, keine großen Ansprüche hat und nicht im Hochsommer reist, wird hier vermutlich zurechtkommen.
